The egg shaker peeler is helpful for those with arthritis (with loss of finger dexterity) and peeling is difficult. Little toddlers can also have fun helping Mommy peel eggs.
Benji here in the philippines we use the washed water from rice to water plants (veggies or orchids, flowering plants) to fertilize the soil, hence the bowl from the strainer. Love that you are active uploading cooking stuff here in your channel. Thanks for the daiso tour. Im gonna head out to our nearest here in the philippines.
You're so right Daiso is under rated for kitchen stuff, I've been buying it for years and love the unique tools that work really well and so affordable.
Two of my favorite fruit knives and small cutting boards are from daiso. I have about half a dozen of those cutting boards and the fruit knives are still sharp years later. Also a mini microwave steamer for veggies. Man, I need to go back! Love this.
Thank you for this! I’ve shopped in Daiso for years fter discovering them first in Middle East! You got me looking at other things in a different way! 😂 The wooden spoons I use them for my honey and to scoop my fresh coffee grounds. The metal spoons react with the honey, hence why they use the wooden honey server we see in a traditional kitchen. So never use metal spoons for your honey! 😊
I go to Diaso every time I go to our shopping centre. I watch a few Japanese utube channels and of course they shop and use a lot of the Diaso products. I was amazed when I found a store at my local shopping centre in Perth Western Australia. I have found lots of unique and clever little items which I find very useful. We asked the shop assistant how do you pronounce the name of the store as she was Japanese and she told us. I can’t pronounce it the right way but my husband can. You were not saying it right but hey, what does it matter. 😄
The powder that Daiso sells for used cooking oil is the best. Pour it into warm used oil and when it cools it is gelatinous solid. Easy to put in the trash. Love Daiso.
Could you do a kitchen goodwill video? I love to thrift dishes, and sometimes great condition butter / cheese knives but I would love to see your thoughts ❤️
@@msjutee that’s so interesting! My store always has steak knives, butter knives, and cheese knives! I got a pretty tree bark textured handle that’s silver! I’m in Illinois, though.
I think the egg shelling tool is good for someone who has limited hand strength/accessibility. A lot of great tools at diaso for all types of chefs 😊 need to go there sooooon!
We have Daiso in Sydney. I love wandering through and looking at what they have. They have great stationery products too. They did get into trouble with the Australian consumer watchdog because some of the products such as cosmetics and snack foods didn’t have additional labels that conformed to Australian standards. I believe that was addressed and all good now.
Thanks for sharing.I get overwhelmed in store and miss things. I go all the time. And didn't notice some of these essentails!! Daiso is perfect for kids that cook. My 13 yr old likes specific tools. Has her own set of things
I’m dying to know which Daiso you were shopping at. I have one close to me in Lynnwood/Alderwood Mall but this one looks much bigger… I think I need to visit this one ASAP. Benji, this vlog was AWESOME!! I love Daiso! I’ve been shopping here for ages. I agree, so much incredible stuff and the best prices. Some stuff is super unique (don’t even get me started on how incredible Japan is) and they do seem to “think of everything”. I find so much incredible Disney stuff there. Cats are believed to bring good fortune in Japanese culture, that’s why so many cat things. Great vlog, thanks for sharing!! I’d love to see you explore a Goodwill (please mention which one you’re at, if you don’t mind). I’m very into vintage Pyrex bowls and I’ve found some incredible values at Goodwill. Take care!
I wish Chicago had a Daiso. I know Arlington Heights (it’s a suburb of Chicago close to O’Hare Airport) has a Mitsuwa Store and a few Japanese spots to eat at.
I love Daiso too . We have it in Malaysia too but majority are at fixed price at Rm 5.50 used to be every thing at 100 yen (Rm5) . I went to Japan Daiso shops also selling similar products there meaning its world wide similar products. They think of every thing so so cute and intriguing making you feel like having all of it. Love Daiso.
Thank you so much for this Daiso kitchen tools review. Some of the items I’ve been looking at but didn’t know was worth it has now been answered! Now I’m going to do some shopping 😁 OMG! Back cuz I was just thinking Goodwill Store and what I could find!!!
Hi Benji! I grew up watching yours and Judy's channels and find myself having a lot of the same passions as you guys now that I'm grown including cooking! Can you film good cooking tools from home goods/Ross/Marshall's?
I clicked so fast on this lol love you videos but I love diaso so much I wanted to know what you suggested! And which diaso in Washington is this? And yes! A diaso snack edition and a goodwill one!!!!
We don’t have a Daisy anywhere near where I live. The closest is in Dallas. My sister has one in Austin and we visit her a lot. He net been to it yet, but thinking we might need to go. It’s near the Asian district of Austin.
Here for your vlogs Benji! I’ve really been enjoying them. Are you recording making your yakisoba tonight? (You mentioned on Judy’s live that you’re cooking that tonight) Appreciate you showing all the cat items! Haha so cute!! 🐱
Going to Daiso is a sloooooowww walk, hovering over each aisle ,oohing and aahing all the mini items. Japan likes cute stuff "" Kawaii" culture..just look at their anime! Also they have small living spaces, so every inch counts..small families need small meals..so cooking items are smaller size. Japanese take pride in their products, so even the smallest item is thoughtfully design and manufactured without flaws...standard of production is very high. Going to Daiso is therapy ❤
I can def relate to the makeup story 😂😳 I did my step moms makeup luckily we did trial runs kuz lets just say the way I do my eye brows and the way she likes hers! COMPLETELY DIFFERENT ! She was definitely rocking chola brows 😂😳🤣
I always come by at Goodwill after I eat at McD for breakfast to meet some friends..I’d like to go in kitchen stuffs and most of the time I found good stuffs good as new not oversused that’s I would buy..The last time i found 8 qt. I found a 3 cups Tiger rice cooker new also for $14 I was very happy coz I really like to have that Made in Japan rice cooker but I’m not gonna spend $100..I need to change the Panasonic rice cooker I bought there also..Btw, I bought my friend a turbo broiler for $20..a Honeywell table heater..and many more..If it’snoverused I’m not gonna buy it only good as new stuffs..There are brand new stuffs also some are in the boxes..Some people order stuffs they tried it and when they don’t like it they donated ut to Goodwill..But I don’t buy clothes.🤑😜😳😵💫
Ouhhh, I Iike that idea of shopping at the thrift store for kitchen items. Another idea could be shopping at the dollar tree and buying kitchen items too but with a twist, using the items you purchased for a week and giving an honest review of what’s legitimately good and what’s not for those that are on a budget. Or you can also do meals on a budget so for example, using $20 at the grocery store and purchasing dinner ingredients that total up to $20 to make dinner for those on a budget. Benji has been really active on this channel and I’m here for it !! I’ve been watching since Julianna was a baby 😊
Yes %100!!!!😊😊😊😊
Ditto!
The egg shaker peeler is helpful for those with arthritis (with loss of finger dexterity) and peeling is difficult. Little toddlers can also have fun helping Mommy peel eggs.
Thanks for the suggestion!

After washing veggies or fruits, these bowls attached to the strainer will also serve to dry them without any mess on your table.
So sweet Mia will Never forget the meaningful detail from you
I love Daiso❤.
The thing about Japanese made 'cheap' items are they are still so well made - love it!!
I love Daiso! Always walk to the San Francisco Japantown store. Great mini cooking tools for my lunchbox, as a world traveler. ..
You're so right Daiso is under rated for kitchen stuff, I've been buying it for years and love the unique tools that work really well and so affordable.
Thank you Benji, we don't have this store here in Maryland, but when we do, I will be sure to hit them up.
The best thing I bought was the Made in Japan rice paddle that stands on its on. Love it. Rice does not stick to it too.
My son bought me one, too, when I saw the one they're using.
Two of my favorite fruit knives and small cutting boards are from daiso. I have about half a dozen of those cutting boards and the fruit knives are still sharp years later. Also a mini microwave steamer for veggies. Man, I need to go back! Love this.
Less talking, more showing 😅
Thank you for the video👏👏👏👏 I’m lucky to have a Daiso and a Japanese Supermarket Mitsuwa in Edgewater, NJ very close to George Washington bridge.
I use to go there at Southcenter Mall in WA & have very useful thrifty items for all household usage & affordable too …
I am such a kitchen gadget geek so loved this video and will search for a Daiso store.
Hope you enjoy it!
Talked smack about the small spatulas, and Matt was excited when he had seen them. 😂 True friends.
😆
Daiso has a small handheld mandoline slicer that I love. I use it for cucumbers, zucchini, carrots, etc..
Thank you for this! I’ve shopped in Daiso for years fter discovering them first in Middle East! You got me looking at other things in a different way! 😂

I love getting cute stationery and slippers from Daiso. I love that place.
Omg we need to see Miya’s reaction!
Part 2! i can spend hrs in there! Yes benji lets go thrifting!!❤😂🎉
Now this is my jam! I have to go to the one in NYC. Thanks Benji!😊
Could you do a kitchen goodwill video? I love to thrift dishes, and sometimes great condition butter / cheese knives but I would love to see your thoughts ❤️
We will
I went into a Goodwill looking for steak knives and they told me they don’t sell knives. That might just apply to California.
@@msjutee that’s so interesting! My store always has steak knives, butter knives, and cheese knives! I got a pretty tree bark textured handle that’s silver! I’m in Illinois, though.
Trying to find something similar in Canada, love these kinds of stores! Thanks!
Yesss this is my type of video. Thx benji!!
I think the egg shelling tool is good for someone who has limited hand strength/accessibility. A lot of great tools at diaso for all types of chefs 😊 need to go there sooooon!
Very good point. Didn’t think of that. Thank you. Best part of UA-cam is that we can all share what we know to everyone. 😎❤️
I love looking at all the bowls and mini plates when i go to the asian store i even found a cute blue kitty bowl set!! ❤
We have Daiso in Sydney. I love wandering through and looking at what they have. They have great stationery products too. They did get into trouble with the Australian consumer watchdog because some of the products such as cosmetics and snack foods didn’t have additional labels that conformed to Australian standards. I love Japanese porcelain bowls. I even use a little one for my jewelry every night, and one for vitamins in the morning.

The little spoons would be great for getting every last bit out of a jar
I’ll be moving soon and starting fully fresh with this video was what I needed! Thank you uncle benji 😊
I love DAISO as well... I used to shop at Flushing, NY - Sky Mall.
I’ve watched Ratatouille many times. One of my favorites ❤️
Thanks Matt for the shot idea 😊

This one is a very effective and different topic. Benji, I really appreciate your efforts and thinking. Love from Bangladesh 🇧🇩
Love from 🇺🇸
Benji’s favorite new word is ”underrated” 😉
Daiso in Australia is so expensive, starts from $3.80 and up.
But really good items but I wish it was a little cheaper.
Thanks for sharing. Bummer but atleast you got a daiso.
Is that A$3.80 or is it US$3.80 ?
@julianinurgahayati911 very obvious that I'm using Australia dollars in Australia, not USD.
I love the seaweed cutters ❤. I have grandchildren 😂
Matt is so cute. Love Daiso
I've never been to daiso! I can't wait til i can check it out id prob go nuts lol i love this store!!
I've always wanted to shop at Daiso. The closest one is several hundred miles away in New York!😢
I can def relate to the makeup story 😂😳 I did my step moms makeup luckily we did trial runs kuz lets just say the way I do my eye brows and the way she likes hers! COMPLETELY DIFFERENT ! She was definitely rocking chola brows 😂😳🤣
All those tiny utensils would be great for kids! They are the perfect size.

Love me some Daiso!!! Go Benji!!!
I wonder if the materials in these tools are safe?

The tighter the strain. Harder to clean the scum off. Also noodles

LOVE Daiso!!
Can someone tell me which specific daiso this was located at? It’s a huge place!
What city and state this Diso store at?
I love Daiso😍
They don’t have online?
“If you’re poor..” lol
Fine I’ll go to Daiso this weekend
Benji is how girls are at ulta or Sephora 😂
A link to Matt's cooking channel or at least the full name, please
I bought a bread machine from the Salvation Army. It was practically new.
I watched this whole video hoping that you would review the bento box section…..but alas 😢 It was cool though, hopefully next time.
Where’s this Daiso store?
U should put the guy U were with your daughters and have a movie marathon or watch the movie you said the 2 ratatuli one and mauia I know I spelt it wrong...with a big bag of popcorn...love to see his face...then he can cook dinner for your family or you both cook...
❤❤❤❤❤ ❤❤
What is Matt’s channel?
Sir, that utensil you called "double strainer" is actually a COLANDER.
I love how shocked Benji is that Matt has not watched a Princess movie lol
I just got that trash can and it’s my favorite buy from Daiso.
We have Japan Homes here in PH😂❤
Should be more careful of the items. He's just chucking them back. If I pick something up I put it back carefully
I think the prices at my local one are higher
Which Daiso is this?? This one is ginormous!
❤
Where is this Daiso?
Unmarked are $ 1.75 now
I vote for a egg shelling tool product review lol
Weird Japanese kitchen tools review
They would be good shorts content!@@BenjiManTV
Sometimes recipes ask for rice water
You have better Daiso there than in the Philippines. I would never leave Daiso without buying anything
OGs remember when the salad dressing ruined the daiso haul
😁
You gotta do this again with the girls
This whole time I thought Daiso was geographically Japanese.
Matt hasn’t seen ratatouille?!!!??????!?
I’ll fix that.
😂😂
I had dropped by a Japanese store but if you read the labels, most are made in China 🤨
What areA are you in
My
Store is opening at the end of July 2024
