This is a bug, she rarely says this while kneeling over the little gravestone where you access the hunters nightmare dlc lamps when she sometimes goes up there. You just got lucky and glitched at the same time.

I had no idea this dialogue was supposed to be rare. I got it right after killing Rom on my first playthrough and thought it was normal. And somehow I also got Gehrman’s rare sleeping dialogue as well on my first playthrough.

Oh, somebody, please…(crying)” His crying voice clip is actually reused and slightly changed for the Orphan of Kos intro cutscene when it cries before the boss starts.
I got this line after finishing Eileen’s quest line and I straight up cried, thinking she died, cause the doll was knelt at the gravestone above the messenger shop
@@overlorddante she has a 10% chance of being at that grave, and while at the grave she has a 2% chance of saying the prayer. Which drops to 0% once you go into the dlc
She used to say this in my game, but it glitched and only shows the darkening of the screen where the text should be. She doesn’t speak and no text appears. It’s sad. 😔
thats the sleeping text. it will show a darkening like there is text but no words because she isnt speaking. this can happen while she's standing as a glitch as well.
I guess she didnt know you could grow powerfull enough to face Flora, but still, asking for you to leave the hunt and forget everything is asking for the worst possible ending.
It is the best possible ending, you leave Yharnam alive and healthy unlike when you got there. You didn't go insane, and you get to live your life. Either you become trapped in the dream or you become a great one if you refuse. I mean, the last ending could be the best depending on how you see it, but the game is all about how wanting to become a great one or having great one abilities is what leads to all the misfortune in Yharnam.

Awakening from the dream is leaving things as they are, the hunters remain enslaved to the Moon Presence and the world keeps spiraling out of control into a lovecraftian nightmare. By defeating the Moon Presence, you release the hunters and become the first human to ascend. Note how the achievement mentions all of humanity reaching a new infancy. My personal interpretation is that the hunter becomes a benevolent old one, guiding humanity to take their own place in their stars by becoming old ones, no longer subject to their frail human minds nor the weakness of flesh and blood, they can face the cosmic truths, and perhaps even avenge all the horrors they endured because of the old one's whims. Its my own interpretation, as I already said, you could probably argue about the loss of humanity or the sacrifices of this ascension, but I just believe it is better to evolve and remove our shackles than live on in blissfull ignorance. However pleasant, a lie will remain a lie...
@@axios4702 benevolent Great One... That's an optimistic take if I've ever seen one. But I agree that's the best outcome for Humanity as a whole. Not for my hunter, though.
The great ones aren't particularly malevolent. It's what makes Bloodborne kind of interesting as a take on HPL stuff imo. It seems to be that the nightmarish stuff is caused by human ambition and perversity rather than the otherworldly forces being malign. I think one of the runes even mentions them being sympathetic to humanity.
In my case, she said this right before I was about to talk to Gharnam at the bottom of the tree in New Game….i hadn’t even been to Nightmare Frontier on my first playthrough

One, she is similar to the Maiden in Black from Demon's Souls who was, in fact, the most powerful Demon, that's why she could channel the power of souls to level you up. The Doll can do the same, she must require some Arcane power to do so. Two, she is not phased by the 'true' ending, were The Hunter becomes a Great One. This must mean she is on par or even stronger than them. Or, she, as is said of Great Ones, desired a child, which you basically become for her. Three, the colour of her blood. It's rather pale. Four, how does she exist? Nobody questions it but her existence is an anomalie. Some people say the Moon Presence created her but I don't see much evidence for that. Five, she has eyes inside her head.

She doesn't know you're potentially preparing for communion and ascension through the cords. If she truly were evil, and you're considering becoming a Great One the good ending; Would she have carried you like she did in the end?
@@overlorddante I have no idea about what "extended credits" you're talking about. But if that were the case, I don't understand how you can label being freed from the Hunter's Nightmare "The Bad Ending" for yourself. For the City of Yharnam, yeah they'll still be fucked. But you are free.
@@overlorddante I doubt that exists since I can’t find it anywhere. However, even if it does exist, you can’t count cut content as canon. The doll literally says she loves the hunter. Not only that, but her wish is for the player to be freed from the dream and live on. If you kill Gehrman, you either become a slave to the moon presence or become a godlike monster. If you let Gehrman kill you, you’re at least able to escape Yharnam or at the very least live without knowing the horrible eldritch truth.

Not just any Amygdala but defiled Amygdala. Good stuff, that's one of the hardest fights in the game.
If you stand at its little tail, it can't hit you, and when it jumps it will land with its face right next to you.
Easy cake walk. Had to farm him for my 21.5 nourishing Radial gem. Off shape. Got 2 after killing that boy 200 times.

for me she said nothing, multiple times when coming back to the dream i’d see a blank black subtitle box pop up but again…it was blank

She is an aspect of Flora, rather a hypostasis of her. The doll represents the pale moon aspect, while flora the blood moon.
