In this video we're doing some big mountain snowboarding in Corralco, Chile. Over the past few days Corralco has gotten 30 + centimeters of new snow. The mountain winds have blow the snow onto the west facing slopes and leaving the east facing slows icy. We managed to traverse across the icy slopes to the powder filled areas for the best snowboarding of the trip. The mountain here at Corralco, Chile has definitely exceeded our expectation for size and quality of snow for snowboarding. You should visit ANTUCO ski center and volcano, there is very good lines and very funny by the left side of the lift, made from hills of "lava" from the volano. And an amazing view

I have a question that maybe could become a tutorial. I haven't found one in the channel.
I've seen that many times you (and also advanced and professional riders) ride with a layback stance, almost like the stance for riding in powder.
The back leg is flexing more than the front leg and the head is leaning towards the front. Is that and advanced stance?

I can’t believe you didn’t mention to turn up forward lean for big traverses. Sometimes you have to traverse on your heels. Especially on a directional board where it’s really hard to go switch. In those cases you have to send it on the heels and it’s way easier with more forward lean. I bet u guys don’t use forward lean at all.

SuzN haha seriously!! Remember when xgames used to show everyone’s stance before they dropped in to their runs? I rode at 15,-12 for like 5 years because Danny Kass did it. I finally figured out 15,-6 was much more natural for me. Moral of the story is to trust your own anatomy not other peoples. I could’ve used your advice when I was a little kid lol. Cheers!
SuzN damn that is so crazy! Your advice influenced my favorite pipe rider of all time, thereby influencing my stance choice. I suppose I should thank you for telling him to go with smaller angles otherwise I would’ve been riding around at 15,-15 for all those years!! I can’t wait to tell my friends that story - they are big dk fans too. I will definitely try 12,-9! I’ll report back in a few months. Thanks!!
