I absolutely love this song. It reminds me of when I was a teenager and me and my friends would party at the lake in the Summer. We would party all day into the night. Those are some of my best memories. Times were so much better then. The world was more innocent and fun.
Every time I hear this song it makes me smile and think back to my high school days and growing up in the '70s and '80s. Kids today will never truly know the carefree and fun we had back then. We did so many things that parents would never allow their children to do today, such as; being left alone while your parents went to work or out at a young age, being out all day with your friends doing whatever whenever Sometimes from when you woke up till bedtime, not having to worry about someone hurting, kidnapping, or killing you when by yourself or with friends, being with immediate and extended family-it was priority over most everything else and not something you even thought about, not wearing seatbelts, riding in the front seat or wherever in the car, playing outside from sunup to sundown, playing kick the can, Annie-I-over, hide and seek plus others, tv with "bunny ears", no remote, and only 3 channels, riding in the back of a pickup truck bed, drinking water from the hose outside, not thinking about or even knowing about suicide because of bullying, being expected to know or do so much at such a young age. We just got to be just kids and embrace life without much worry. I really miss those times. Things just were more simple and carefree when there wasn't so much technology and all that comes with the advancements. Sorry so long, kinda got carried away in my memories.
Hey boy, it's funny, we have the same age. I had grow up in Europe, i'm not american, i don't speak english, but we are the same teenager with the same childhood and memories. Big hug from Switzerland, man.
the planet is going to shit globally and the governments won't do shit because it's not directly affecting them & rich people are rich so they're just partying and enjoying their wealth before they die or before everything goes to shit😂we're fucked no matter what
I never knew much about Kid Rock except being with Pam Anderson. But one night some many years ago I was watching a show on TV- can't remember which, maybe MTV Unplugged?-- There was a tight, packed, smaller venued audience and in comes Kid Rock taking over the place - I think singing this song which is why I searched it out-- and boy was he powerful with a ton of charisma! Dynamic and sexy are the words! I felt -- zoom!--lol! How did I miss this guy?? And now I like him. A good Patriot too. I think he has a good heart. This song reminds me of youth in the 70's and how much better we had things back then. Sigh....
Praise the Lord we are blessed with this kid. Just when I thought we were losing all our classic shakers. Those who truly moved us. Please don't stop. Sophia's hope
Splashing through the sand bar Talking by the campfire It's the simple things in life, like when and where We didn't have no internet!!! But man I never will forget The way the moonlight shined upon her hair
Born in 65,growing up in the 70s, 80s,an 90s was a time I will never forget, the music was awesome and had meaning it got into your soul, now I'm 56 and still listening to the music of my past and it still gets me going an ready for another day, thank you Kid for keeping that feeling alive with all your music.
I am not a Kid Rock fan, but the first time I heard this with his mash up between Werewolves of London and Sweet Home Alabama, I gave him the thumbs up. He truly captured the REAL America we once were and could/should be again. This song makes me smile, feel young and want to go do stupid things :)
Never been a big fan of Kid Rock per say, but gotta give him much love for capturing those days so well. No one had i-pods or Beats where we listened to our music alone. Someone...EVERYONE....had a boom box, or ghetto blaster or whatever the local term was. And whoever had the biggest baddest, bestest one was always invited to hang out. Or you left the doors to your car open and did it that way. We lived and played TOGETHER back then as opposed to now where everyone is an island and 90% of people live in their phones. It was glorious, and for those too young to have known it...I feel for y'all. I really do.
Bravo Kid, Song is great but this video is the best part.I live in Southern Europe, in a place visited from lots of young Americans and celebrities, every year, mostly young adults and students. When people ask me on internet what do I do for living, my answer is "am singing sweet home Alabama all summer long" hahaha. I think people in the United States are unaware of how well this video reflects America, America as I see it every year. young, good-looking, blonde US-girls, happy, laughing and smiling. I rent out some apartments, many of my guests seem to have come straight from this video to my apartment and this song has indeed been heard and sung countless times. i was never in the USA, but USA comes to me every year, for 3 months. USA as we experience it here. Keep singing Kid!
Sweetheart I love this song too and I'm 61 I don't know how old she was but let me tell you if you played this song for her before she passed she was a happy person I want to do something crazy before I die listening to the song and I hope and pray she did something wild before she passed away we need to you only get one life
This song reminds me of my 1st love. Met her at 12, fell in love at 16, 7 years together and one year since we split. Thought she'd be mine forever, this song will always remind me of my teens and my years with her 😢💔 the nostalgia is as painful as it is pleasurable.
never has a song brought me back, that made me smile so much & yearn for just a few days of only worrying what fun the next day would bring..Thanks Kid...Love this song, love you & the tribute to one of the best bands to play in front of the 'Stars & Bars" Lynyrd Skynrd ..American Patriots just as you are...

It never stopped, depending where you live. Plenty of lakes and rivers you can have a gathering, rent a pontoon, etc. Only reason I ever did it less was because it's harder to do with a kid, but I can't wait when he's old enough to hang with friends on a canoe trip or something similar.
I was 8 years old when this video came out. Growing up in Canada camping all the time, we listened to this pretty much every weekend on the radio and it just brings back soooo many memories

I can't describe how much I love this kind of music. Although born in central Europe it always brings me to USA especially to those "country music" states like Texas, Alabama or Nashville. Just banjos, acoustic guitars, whiskey, corn fields and chillin' out :) Have a great day all you lovely Americans down there :)
Played this song at my fathers funeral. He loved this song and kid rock as well. I would love to meet kid rock and tell him what a great song artist and singer he is.

One of my favorite summers was listening to this song - I swear if I had been keeping a journal it would have been the lyrics to this epic tune. I was 47 at the time so it just goes to show you that you're never to old to have lots of fun (and I do mean lots!)
Never be another time like it. Too politically correct now. People have to get tired of this crap and totally revolt, then. Maybe it will happen again lol

Sorry no smoking hot Babes for me but just great calm times before the reality of Adult life). Just curious was the Night set inspired by the USO SuziQ scene from Apocolypse Now? Boy I tell you what, I fucking love this song. Me and a couple buddies of mine went to a local bar in my home town on a Sunday night to shoot some pool.. walked through the front doors, and saw everyone just sitting at the bar looking depressed and shit. So I ordered us a round of drinks, racked up on the pool table and then made my way to the jukebox. I put in a good 10 dollars worth, but I played 'All Summer Long' by Kid Rock, first.. and I swear to god, ever since that first beat on the drums of the intro, the whole place turned up for the next 5 hours! Such a great song by an awesome dude. Much love to everyone who likes this song too... and by all means, try it the next time you go to your local bar with some good friends. I promise the end result with be nothing but good times.

"All Summer Long" It was 1989 My thoughts were short my hair was long Caught somewhere between a boy and man She was seventeen And she was far from in-between It was summertime in Northern Michigan Splashing through the sand bar Talking by the campfire It's the simple things in life, like when and where We didn't have no Internet But, man, I never will forget The way the moonlight shined upon her hair And we were trying different things We were smoking funny things Making love out by the lake to our favorite song Sipping whiskey out the bottle Not thinking 'bout tomorrow Singing Sweet home Alabama all summer long Singing Sweet home Alabama all summer long Catching Walleye from the dock Watching the waves roll off the rocks She'll forever hold a spot inside my soul We'd blister in the sun We couldn't wait for night to come To hit that sand and play some rock and roll While we were trying different things And we were smoking funny things Making love out by the lake to our favorite song Sipping whiskey out the bottle Not thinking 'bout tomorrow Singing Sweet Home Alabama all summer long Singing Sweet Home Alabama all summer long Sweet Home Alabama Turn it up Now nothing seems as strange As when the leaves began to change Or how we thought those days would never end Sometimes I hear that song And I start to sing along And think, man, I'd love to see that girl again Man, I'd like to see that girl again And we were trying different things And we were smoking funny things Making love out by the lake to our favorite song Sipping whiskey out the bottle Not thinking 'bout tomorrow Singing Sweet Home Alabama all summer long We were trying different things And we were smoking funny things Making love out by the lake to our favorite song Sipping whiskey out the bottle Not thinking 'bout tomorrow Singing Sweet Home Alabama all summer long Singing Sweet Home Alabama all summer long Singing Sweet Home Alabama all summer long Singing Sweet Home Alabama all summer long Singing Sweet Home Alabama all summer long Singing Home Sweet Home Alabama all summer long Singing all summer long

I second that. Today’s kids live in the meta verse & they didn’t even choose to. It just swallowed them up one day, as planned.
I user to hate that lol. 😂 You never got to choose music for yourself, I was one who put on my walk man and only put up with Boom boxes at parties.

"All Summer Long"
It was 1989
My thoughts were short my hair was long
Caught somewhere between a boy and man
She was seventeen
And she was far from in-between
It was summertime in Northern Michigan
Splashing through the sand bar
Talking by the campfire
It's the simple things in life, like when and where
We didn't have no Internet
But, man, I never will forget
The way the moonlight shined upon her hair
And we were trying different things
We were smoking funny things
Making love out by the lake to our favorite song
Sipping whiskey out the bottle
Not thinking 'bout tomorrow
Singing Sweet home Alabama all summer long
Singing Sweet home Alabama all summer long
Catching Walleye from the dock
Watching the waves roll off the rocks
She'll forever hold a spot inside my soul
We'd blister in the sun
We couldn't wait for night to come
To hit that sand and play some rock and roll
While we were trying different things
And we were smoking funny things
Making love out by the lake to our favorite song
Sipping whiskey out the bottle
Not thinking 'bout tomorrow
Singing Sweet Home Alabama all summer long
Singing Sweet Home Alabama all summer long
Sweet Home Alabama
Turn it up
Now nothing seems as strange
As when the leaves began to change
Or how we thought those days would never end
Sometimes I hear that song
And I start to sing along
And think, man, I'd love to see that girl again
Man, I'd like to see that girl again
And we were trying different things
And we were smoking funny things
Making love out by the lake to our favorite song
Sipping whiskey out the bottle
Not thinking 'bout tomorrow
Singing Sweet Home Alabama all summer long
We were trying different things
And we were smoking funny things
Making love out by the lake to our favorite song
Sipping whiskey out the bottle
Not thinking 'bout tomorrow
Singing Sweet Home Alabama all summer long
Singing Sweet Home Alabama all summer long
Singing Sweet Home Alabama all summer long
Singing Sweet Home Alabama all summer long
Singing Sweet Home Alabama all summer long
Singing Home Sweet Home Alabama all summer long
Singing all summer long
Thanks
