- Hey Glamfam,
I wanted to share my experience of buying and selling on Tradesy. This occured in 2015 and was a Speedy 35 not Speedy 30. I resold the bag not under the assumption it was a fake but authentic as I had purchased it believeing it was authentic. I wanted to share why I no longer buy or sell on this platform. I prefer to use other platforms to buy as I feel they are more secure. This is just my opinion and the views and opinion expressed on this channel are that of my own. I am not sponsored by no company.
I don’t think the bag was actually fake as Tradesy did investigate the claim (the actual bag was sent to Tradesy) and didn’t reach out to me with any further action. I was paid for selling the bag and my funds were not withheld.

I was going to buy a bag on Tradesy! I think I changed my mind!!! Thank you for sharing.
It’s definitely the last website I’d buy a bag from. I know they have improved but I’m not familiar with their policy and practices today. Only from my experience back in 2015 when they were still in its infancy.
Worst nightmare! I'm so sorry about this, babe. Thanks for sharing your experience though. Knowing this js gonna help somebody out there for sure!
Thanks Sis. I hope so. It’s so easy to be scammed. The super fakes are getting so much better.
I do t k ow how that could have happened? I sell on Tradesy, Amazon, Rebag and The Real Real. The process that you have to go through to authenticate your products is like getting a drivers License. The vet all of their goods and give you a quote on the selling price. So that’s strange
Wow…that’s crazy that Tradesy never followed up with you. I’m sorry that you experienced that. At least it can be a lesson learned. Thank you for sharing! ❤️
Yeah, I wished they had. I even reached out to them to find out and they just reponded saying they are handling it and never followed back up with what they did. That was another reason I don't buy from them either.
So sorry you had that bad experience with Tradsey. I’ve brought from them before but never had any problems but I also get all my bag authenticated immediately upon receipt by at least two separate Authenticators. It doesn’t matter the site I always get the bags authenticated.
I do now. This was back in 2015 when I didn’t know any better. I wait until I have the product in hand to verify it now. I’ve definitely learned a lesson from that experience. TFS.
That’s is insane how all that happened to you. I would be the same way. Thanks for the awareness. 💕
Thanks 😊. Definitely was a learning lesson for me.
I bought a speedy 25 and I thought it is original but it is not. It's fake. They said Tradesy only sells originals but nope.
Yeah the super fakes are crafted so well these days from using real leather that patinas to canvas material. With all the videos on how to tell fakes, people who make makes are learning how to improve their fakes. Hopefully you were able to get your money back.
I hate that happened to you!! Thanks for the info. TFS🌺
Thanks Sis.
I think individual sellers selling fakes can be an issue with any of the preloved online sites or stores. I purchased 2 fake Coach handbags from another well known and popular preloved website. I didn’t find out until months later. I did contact them and they did absolutely nothing about it.
And this is why I just buy Coach from the store. I've thought about buying from Ebay and even on the Facebook group but I can't tell if it's fake or not. And I when I sell, I can provide a receipt atleast for my Coach. These sites should take action when you report and not give you a 3 days window to report it.
ppl told you it was fake then you knowingly resell a fake bag lol that's worse then the seller who sold it to you. Well hope you ended up getting a speedy, that's a must bag to have to your collecting!
This was 2015, I didn’t knowingly and honestly still don’t think) the bag was actually fake in the end. The fake comments came after I resold it because the bag was too large in size for me. As I shared, It was sent to Tradesy after to validate. Not everyone watching a UA-cam video is a professional Authenticator as well so you need to be careful who’s saying what. They were saying it’s the glazing but all my bags (even that ones I have bought in 2022) looked the same.
@@TheGlamItGirl I don’t think that bag was fake, tbh. The red glazing could very well have been lighting. I’ve seen many fakes, high quality fakes and there are always key tells and yours didn’t have them. Thanks for sharing your experience!
Oh no I’m so sorry this happened to you! ❤ I have purchased from the real real and fashionphile and feel like they are trustworthy. Or at least I hope I can trust them…lol! After getting the bags I’ve purchased from there authenticated so far so good!
Fashionphile is a definite preferred. I always get my bags authenticated now for peace of mind.
Thanks for the 411! Have a great weekend tfs
NP. You have a great weekend as well!
That’s why I’m untrusting of all of those type sites. There are many scammers out there.
The super fake market is crazy. I saw a video of a guy showing an LV bag that was a super fake or high quality as he shared and the bag was aging like a real back. Talk about alarming. This is why I only buy a preloved with a receipt or I do have it authenticated now as a result of that.
OMG! 😮 glad you let Tradesy know. What happen to you.
I’m glad I did it within the first 30 days or they probably wouldn’t have. I ended up getting my money so I personally think they found it to actually be an authentic bag and the seller had buyers remorse.
Did you resell them as fakes though? I hope not because that sucks for the person that purchased them.
I never had the bag authenticated. I had already sold the bag because it was too big for me. It was after the fact people we’re commenting they were fake. Now Tradesy did contact me about where I got it and I did share whom the seller was so they could take action if it was a fake. They never contacted me back to update me on what they did.
@@TheGlamItGirl Girl I am sorry! I rewatched the video and realized it was my misunderstanding!
WOW!!! HAVE A BLESSED DAY.
Yes they got me with some ugg boots i no longer buy from them
See they should be like Fashionphile and allow you make your claim at any time you find out its a fake. Ugh! I hate that happened to you.
Is the video still on your Channel where you do the unboxing?
Yes. It’s my first video. I tried to link it.
Sorry but it sounds like you had suspension that the bag was fake from what people told you regarding of you saying you didn’t want it because of its size. You shouldn’t have sold it until you had the bag authenticated and had proof either way. Now anyone buying Louis Vuitton and Chanel and are not highly educated on the brand and products need to get their products authenticated immediately once they receive it. I even authenticate item for people as I was a mgr at LV in college, but fakes are so good now I get everything authenticated now if I don’t purchase it new. Yes ago I was sold a fake LV shawl and it was an extremely good fake but thankfully I got it authenticated and got my money back and just ordered a new one from the boutique directly.
I definitely agree to have items authenticated for piece of mind. The bag was sent to Tradesey for Authentication. I Thanks for sharing your experience 😊.
