Amazing video! what a nice change of pace for you and the channel. So nice of those guys to offer a day on the water with you. What a haul of fish too man, wow.
Pretty cool to see you out of your element Chris. I've always wanted to head out on lake Ontario to hit up the salmon or Lakers down deep! Congrats again on your 1 million subs my friend. You've earned it !
Reminds me of trolling Lake Michigan ! Growing up, my mom`s brother would bring us 10 salmon every fall. Dad would cut it up, and mom would can it. I miss salmon patties, it`s so Expensive in the stores. Thank You for sharing your video, and bringing us along.
Love going out on the open water and the adrenalin you get when you hook a big fish worth fighting! No feeling like it! Looks fun yall wish we could have tagged along🤠🤙
Full stop. My biggest fish was a 20 pound King Salmon caught at Buoy 10, the mouth of the Columbia River and the ocean. Was a sketchy trip. We were in a little 14.5 foot boat. At tide change, I saw an 18 footer sink. Needless to say, we high tailed it in. Lol
Great video. Your fight with your first fish reminded me of the first Tuna I ever caught. I think I was 17 or 18 and I fought that bastard for like an hour! And he was delicious!
I'd have to take out a loan to purchase that much Salmon! Looks like a great time out there. I'm surprised no one got seasick... or was that strategically edited out? Keep up the great work!
You nailed it. Ive fished my whole life and caught just about every inland fish out there but when I went out on the big lake (Michigan) i was completely out of my element when it came to actually feeling in fish for the exact reason you mentioned. Plus, the guide didn't appreciate my hook setting technique learned through years of bass fishing. Lol. Hardly any hookset at all required, just enough to release the line from the downrigger. Typical bass fishing hookset either ripped the bait away from the fish or snapped the line. Not a happy guide at 20 bucks or so a rig. Lol. Reeling in a fish while the boat continued always resulted in the fish surfing on top just like in Chris's video here. Felt very awkward but you live and learn.
The line was coated in spiny water fleas, tell your buddy to run thicker line like 30 lb trilene big game and they will not cling on its brutal when the water heats up. great job
He didn't have the first fish pop off the dude pulled the lure out when he went to go net the fish. I have done it myself. You need to scoop the fish not strike at it. Also holding the net part tight with your front hand. Then as you reach out drop the net so it clears everything. Scoop down towards the head of the fish. Don't scoop them at the end of your reach. Also point the end of the net up when lifting. Lift from the net not the arm.
This comment is not particularly related to this video, but I just wanted to say please don't ever sell out and let some television network buy you. The way you make these videos has frankly become a pretty big part of my life, and it would be heartbreaking to see them disappear or change on account of a little more money in the bank. Anyway, it's just a thought. Keep on doing what you're doing!
Whats subscriber scotts real job? Im sure i saw him electro fishing on someone elses channel recently..... Maybe it was another big guy woth a beard...

Did you notice how calm the lake is? Nearly flat. That's the type of day custom made for beginners.
At one point I was getting a little queazy, but some snacks and yeah, super calm water helped!!
Lots of fun im glad you showed us how you cought your fish you cooked and ate the other night
Much love xoxox thanks have fun
You should try the salmon river that’s some fun fishing when the fish start hitting the river from Ontario I’ll be there it’s always a good time
Excellent! Full stop.
Congrats on over 1million subs scott!!! Oops, I mean Chris!
Pengen ikut mancing om🤭
Aye, Thar she blows! Pirates of the great lakes. Nicely done on those lunkers!
Waiting to see you without your beard.
you want the channel to change to "The Wooded Man"? lol
I'm happy he kept the beard... I'm not a fan of long beards, nevertheless I think his suits him well!...
This was pretty awesome!!!... We can feel the energies, the excitement, the thrill... Everything!... Just awesome!...
Not from that photo! That photo of him without the beard is shocking to say the absolute least while being "nice" 🤐😂😂😂
Guaranteed he's not gonna do it haha.
Seems like it would be really tough to reel in a big fish with the boat still trolling forward. Good work!
Thats trolling

Yes you have to keep moving or you'll have a massive tangle with multiple rods. That would bring your day to an end fast
Yeah...the idea is to not have to reel up all the other lines...and potentially still get a 2nd fish...keep fishing!
How many inches long was the longest fish?
Great video!
Thanks!
Bro come down to the Gulf... Next level.
Full stop
I love sushi and this channel man 😉
Wow 2 minutes
You need to add some of that pro cure herring scent to your woodobo sauce.
Nice 👍
Muito bom, acompanho sempre seus vídeos.
Um abraço!

Thanks!
How many inches was the longest fish? (Or how many centimeters?)
Are those steering cables on that tiller???? I never would have thought of that.
Fabricated tether. Did the trick👍
Good morning
What part of Ontario were you on? Where was the light house at?
No idea, I was just told to show up!!
@@TheWoodedBeardsman I live in NY and fish Ontario often usually by oswego. Aesome haul by the way!!
wussup dudes
The first video that I have been able to watch to the end today... good job, and entertaining.
Hello from the US side of lake Ontario . How many Gobies did you catch? Don't eat too much fish at a time because of mercury.
None...
The line was coated in spiny water fleas, tell your buddy to run thicker line like 30 lb trilene big game and they will not cling on its brutal when the water heats up. great job
Great advice👍
They stick to all line out there I’ve ran all kinds and brand on that lake one day you get them the next you don’t
dang, that beard grew back fast
Like overnight!!

I haven't seen you catch and cook crabs or lobsters except for when you went to Maine. Aren't there any in Canada?
Nope....some small crawfish that's about it. Well, if I go far West or East.
Turn the clicker off during the fight bud!
is he chartering on the US side or Canadian side?
Canadian, but not chartering, just buds hitting the water.
Would suggest to bleed the fish before cooling them down :)
This is not fishing 🎣 this is like glamping
Yeah, such a treat!
So is that a steelhead or a rainbow trout?
Rainbow
There the same thing
Where can find the oriental in the boat?
hahah. He doesn't have a service, but if he does, I'll post it.
Hey Chris I can see The Edmund Fitzgerald down there.
Lol!
Ya wrong lake big guy, it's in gitcheegumee.....

Can someone tell me what app that guy was using that shows the depth and direction? Thanks

What about toxins in those big fish?
Have to be careful, they are higher here, but not as bad as they used to be for the area.
