Brings back memories of Wisconsin..😅 The carp we've cooked in the past were good, boney yes, but good table fare. We ground the meat and made fish patties sandwiches. Great stuff! Love what ya'll are doing 😊
Man Chris really good video man! I can't get over how many Carp you 3 were able to get. Really good technic with the bow! That was interesting to hear Donny describe the meat colors of the Carp Always learning something! I was wondering about the mud vain in the Carp and always heard it had to be removed to eat. Definitely interesting I thought. Great job on the catch! Sure it was good eating. Look forward to your next one. Take care.
I didn't know you can bow fish on simcoe !!! I ice fish on simcoe almost every year. Best perch fishing there. Also has some great Bass fishing as well
If you pressure cook them the bones get really soft. Squeeze the extra juice out using boil bags or cheesecloth and portion the meat in freezer bags or seal a meal bags.
Looks like such a blast! When I was a teen I ran around with some bowfisher and it was a blast just watching them! lol I have never had a bow. I do have a fishing blow gun but found out that is illegal. Shoots dart you can reel in. Also make sure you are not getting the buffalo carp native to north america. They get super old and seems like they are in decline because they look like carp. Anyways sweet video! Thank you! :D
Chris you guys should go to Louisiana and catch alligator Gar fish. They are fun to catch and taste very good. They are also very prehistoric looking. I think they have been around for a long long time. Carp have too many bones for me to eat. We use them out here tor bait to catch rainbow sharks
@ They are hella big, but not as big as Sturgeon. The y can flip your boat. It is said that where I live, they have an old Sturgeon that lives below the bay that is about 100 years old and about 30lbs and about 900 lbs.
Miss you buddy I got caught up in life for a couple of years. Events of late have me nervous and looking for friends to the north and I have none. Hit me up I would love to have a chat with you.
Asians will happily pay. If you ever watch people from poorer countries fish around here, they will keep every little tiny fish they keep. They understand the value of the food.
There's a lake on the Ohio/Pennsylvania border, called Pymatuning reservoir. At the lionville spillway there are so many carp the birds walk on their backs. You can pics online. It's even more impressive in person. My grandfather would tell me stories how at times they would remove literal semi truck loads of carp

Just think of how many billions of native fish eggs those carp eat every year. You doing that body of water a great service. I despise them all.

That's a good day on the water.
Catching fish like that, how do you stop the meat from filling with blood
Carp meat is very good but you need to cut the yellow off the top and the red from the center and they are very good

Always so beautiful
Those fish are all bones 😂😂😂I try it never again 😂😂
You should electrofish those same areas. Removing large amounts of carp will benefit the lake.
Dude! Full stop
That's lots of damn fish 🐟🐟🐟🐟🐠🐠🐠🐠🐠🐠🐠🐠🐠🐠🐠
Great
WOW, This is a really old video..
Curious to know what happened to subscriber Scott ?
He's around. He got a pretty good job, and is settling into it. He tried YT for a bit, but it's pretty tough gig.

Common carp have been in this country for over 100 years. Not considered invasive anymore. But whatever. You should be out there slamming jumbo perch

Anyone paying $20/lb for carp needs their head examined.

I was surprised this was in Ontario, Canada. The guide definitely sounded canadian. That lake didnt look like what i thought was in Canada.
