Looks like the both of you had a great time there in California...Yes, I do love the beach areas there..I have family in L.A., Santa Monica and former down in San Diego...I hope you have another great time traveling somewhere else. Fly safe always...
Walking on those beaches is way different than hiking in the desert. The soft sand makes you sore in weird places you never would even know about. It's a lot different than hiking on firm ground. Mariana Del Ray is pretty good for cycling too but a lot of the roads don't really have very good bike lanes so you get exposed to traffic a lot. Once you make your way to the beach it's way different though.
We spent the entire summer in Marina del Rey (with kids) and published a video of the renewed Marina. Watch it in English or Russian on our channel. How did you like it?

It looks beautiful and the food looks incredible
The food in Cafe del Rey waa excellent
What a beautiful place. I would love to visit one day.
Although we've been to LA a few times it was our first time in Marina del Rey. It is worth a trip if you get the chance.

Wow. I’ve always wanted to go to California! Tiny bit jealous!
We love the place. I cut the bit of me skate boarding, I didn't want to embarrass the locals.
Very nice...
Great video, thank you.
Thank you for the comment.
This place looks amazing, so much to see there too
It is a good base and still close to the beaches.
Ooo I never went there when I was in California, maybe I should go back looks fun!!
It's a bit quieter than Santa Monica but it's still close enough to walk to Venice Beach.
this place looks great, just my cup of tea :-)
Very nice place although maybe a cup of tea is hard to find, just have to settle for a cocktail.
Wow loving all the street art, that market looks amazing and I want to skate at that skate park so bad!! Also hipsters lol
The skate park is really good and right on the beach. Some of the young kids were incredible.

Yep, that sand can get everywhere. Agree, many places could improve their bike lanes, cycling would be a great option for getting around.

We only spent a few days there after driving Route 66 from Chicago, it was a good place to relax before flying home.
