Hi ! I am one of your subscriber since the vega stuff I think. Not sure tho. First of all, it's really good to see that you have job where you feel great. Speacking of "feeling great", it's also a good thing that you got over covid 19 fairly well. 2 week isn't that bad compared to other people that had it. Personnally I didn't lost interest in tech, 'cause there is, well, what you already have on hands. That seems obvious, but actually I feel really kinda privileged to have a really good 1440p high refresh rate experience and a really good CPU/GPU combo to do streaming and stuff with friends in thoses darker times. And I'm highly aware that, not every people can enjoy that. It's really unfortunate. So I really take care of my stuff, more than ever. Enjoying it, quite simply. If anything, that meant that I didn't think of buying shiny new probably overkill and useless things. It's good for my wallet ahah ! And, there is still things that are available without issues, like cooling stuff, that type of thing that could be an upgrade if you REALLY need to spend that cash in pc hardware ! I still kinda disagree on the "it's not real until it's available". Really an american thing to say I feel, ahah ! Not to be disrespectful, It's really not what I'm trying to do here, it's just not something I'm hearing a lot in EU, but way more in the US community. It's gonna get better. Just give it time. Even if it bloody s#cks, lbh. I'm not really big on linux, even if i'm really curious, so I probably gonna check your content anyway... But idk, I think there is a lot of unjustified hate toward windows and/or overhype for linux. Things are not white or black. I really force my self to see things in between, because it's oftenly probably a mix with better and worst. And that proved to be true really ofently. Security and privacy on Linux is probably good, yes, but it's also because it's still a way smaller community. If Linux get to the level of windows, things gonna change, and challenges gonna appear, because security is oftenly relative to how many people have interest to break it. Maybe that Linux's responses to this challenges gonna be better. But it also can be worst than windows. Big compagny with a lot of ressources vs. open source with a lot of contributors. It's really gonna be a heated fight. And not a easy one.
Thanks for the perspective and thanks for the support! I feel ya linux has its pros and cons, I mostly switch to using it full time because I don't want to give my data to windows but that is just a personal issue. Linux is not for everyone and even for the linux users they are def making compromises. It is totally over hyped! but it right for the right person. I am gaming on my pc and on geforce now so for me gaming hasn't changed. You are totally right about there being other things like coolers and stuff!! Thanks for the inspiration on that! I get what you mean about taking care of your stuff. I am planning on keeping this build for a while. I don't really want to upgrade to any new cpu or gpu just feel bad for those who cant get what they want. Thanks for watching and commenting. I will still do windows stuff because I know most people use it. Im just not gonna use it daily
Good to see ya, man. And congrats on the job! I'm down to see some Raspberry Pi content, as I've got a Pi 4 that I'm currently not doing anything with, but whatever you decide for content I'm sure will be good. Sorry, I saw the video the video a couple days ago, but watched it on my AndroidTV and forgot to make sure to come back and leave a comment for the algorithm. So, here you go:) Take care and glad to see you're doing alright. Thanks!
Yay more linux content. been here since your journey from switching from windows to linux. also another thing you should get back into livestreaming :)
