Haven't even watched this yet but I own both the Big Buddy and Heat Hog 18,000 Btu models respectively. I'm still making up my mind which one I like better. I really think I like the Heat Hog better. Seems more chinzy quality plastic but I think it puts out better heat. Heating surface is much larger as I just heard one of you say. Handle moves etc. Just seems like a much better product besides the shitty plastic back panel on mine. After a few more days when I make up my mind, I'm probably taking the big buddy back and spending a few more bucks for another Heat Hog
@@Shadowwufooyt my big buddy heater has lasted a very long time, only time will tell if the heat hog will hold up. Like you said the back panel on the heat hog is cheap plus the igniter has plastic on it that I’m concerned will break if I drop something on it in my ice fishing sled. Thanks for the comment.
I am genuinely liking the ability to mount on the wall; that could free up quite a bit of small cabin floorspace. thoughts on strength of the mounting bracket?@@fierceoutdoors
The mounting brackets seem strong enough to sit on a wall. All you would need to do is add two screws in the wall, put the screw heads into the holes on the back of the heater and slide into place if that makes sense.
Use a hose with a regulator and a quick connect. The 20 pound tank can then be used without a filter.
Good idea thanks for the tip. 👍
Cheers Guys I bought one
Awesome Great Review👍🇬🇧
Thanks for watching, hope you like it. We have had great luck with ours so far.
Will the hose filter fit in it without issue? Those hoses clog up heaters and I use the filter always.
I’m not sure I don’t currently have the filter on mine, I will be getting one in the near future just so it doesn’t get clogged up.
Does it use the same hose as the buddy heaters? I'm tired of my buddy heater being a pain in my ass.
Yes it does, I took my hose right off the old Big Buddy heater and put it on the Heat Hog. Thanks for watching.

Only 1 tank at a time sucks unlike the buddy you can use 2 tanks at a time.
That is true also, I just use a 20lb tank
