OMG I love when people answer the phone by saying "já" on the inhale. Also love how Icelanders say "takk fyrir mig!"

We are packing for our trip in few weeks! We noticed nobody is mentioning tracking poles (folding kind) for glacier / other hiking. Advise please.... Shall we or not?

Hi Guys, I came across you by accident, whilst researching where to go for our 40th wedding anniversary
My wife and I are celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary in February, I know it is winter there, we are in our low to mid 60's
I believe with what you guys have showed, we will enjoy our time there, do you think at that time of year it will be a good time to visit for us old people :) :):)
Love the way you present your program with enthusiasm and heaps of energy, thank you

Greetings from Madeira, you guys! I've been seeing some of your videos for a while since i heard that Play Airlines is starting to make weekly trips between our islands and Im thinking of going there between March or April with my wife and kid. Do you have any tips since my kid is 8 months old (should be around 14 when we go there), like what tours should we do with him and any kind of extra advice that you have when taking toddlers. Huge thanks in advance 👍

I have noticed that in other nordic countries, people leave their baby’s outside in strollers as well! Here in the Netherlands, even if it is relatively safe, i would definitely never think about doing that 😅

The inhaling stuff is common in France too, for the exact same word! Ahah a lot of French people will say “oui” or “ouais” (which means ‘yes’), while inhaling! I thought it was a typical French thing, but now I know it’s also common in Icelandic. 😄

I agree with ice cream on the first date. Does that mean you have fermented shark and a shot of black death when you meet her parents for the first time🤔😉

That inhaling thing - the Finns do it too!
Leaving babies outside is also pretty widespread in the Nordic countries.

In Ireland, it is not unusual for someone to also say "Yes" on inhalation. It may be from our shared time together in history :)
BTW I've visited Iceland many times and I absolutely love it, the nature, its history and its people!

Lobster is soooo tasty here! Smaller, but also sweeter! It's expensive everywhere - so I would say go for restaurant that specialize in seafood and you should be good. Matarkjallarinn does an awesome lobster dish and then the lobster hot dog at the Icelandic bar is world famous 🌭
