The brushos look awesome on everything, especially on the glassine bag! I just love mixed media may 🙌 I hope you will continue to do some mixed media in between the journal making, which I also love watching! 💕
thank you gay life had a sinus build up for the past week and on the days and moments when I feel better it's great to have you to watch and learn from thank you my friend! 🐞💜🌻💚🦋
how cool! especially like the brushos on the glassine bag and doily-it popped like fireworks! and the tags you made are scrumptious Gayle! as much as i LOVE the vintage look, i am loving these with all the colors and your touches of a vintage look with inking edges, adds just a whisper and makes them pop. tfs, your range with creating knows no boundaries!
It looks like fun. I had heard of brushos, but didn't know how to use them. It reminds me of tie-dying. I like all that you did today. Thanks for sharing.
This was fun and new to me thank you for the tutorial. The tags your kids made are the best and I miss when my kids were little and we did crafts together. Thanks for the share Gayle & take care.
I love it! So fun how you can tap some color out of the bottle. After I watched the new Tim Holtz demo videos, it made me think that it would be cool to spray water on a glass surface, then tap the colors in certain areas, wet your paper too, then tap/ slightly drag the paper in the color on glass. Very cool effects-- you can even tap several times in the same color mixture. Just be careful not to drag too much because it can make the color muddy. I bet that would be a cool thing to d o with this product!
It is fun to see you do something new. I have seen brusho paper before and love the effect. I haven't invested in any yet, I have so many techniques I love doing right now. I will keep this in my to do list.
It was so interesting today.. I noticed that you made some interesting sounds today..lol must be the excitment and the smoothie mix...lol..have fun girl!!! God bless you!!!!
This was fun to watch!! The tags came out so awesome!! The doily and glassine bag were really pretty!! A person could play with these all day!! TFS!! Hugs, Liz:)
Before I would've said Brusho, Oh No. Now I'm saying Brusho, Let's Go. This is why I learn all my core techniques from you...YOU are not only excellent at teaching them, but demonstrate how to apply the product/technique to a few different substrates. Bravo, Gayle--or more aptly--Brusho, Gayle!!
I am not a big fan of brushos but I do like the random noises you make (psssuiwh! when you explain the ‘exploding’ effect of the brushos) and I absolutely adore how you say hello to the bunny you just stamped on a tag (hello little bunny 🐰) 😁❤️
I'm loving this Mixed Media May!! Love how these turned out. Off to get ready for the family coming for my birthday today!!! Fingers crossed this rain stops. 💜
Bought some brushos in the UK last year but I find them messy to use. However your tips about wetting the page and making a pinhole in the top of the container should solve that! When I first used them I looked up and said ‘what do you do with this?’ Teacher calmly reached forward and used a punch to make beautiful leaves from the paper . So die cut and punch. Don’t even think about the colours, they all look great.
Gayle, I get really frustrated with stickers, too. Yesterday I wrestled with some new ones I'd received in a recent Etsy order, and I wanted to toss them. I finally got them to peel away, but I was so annoyed. I wish there was a small amount of the plastic around the sticker to make it easier to peel away. Thanks for sharing the brushos - that looks like fun. :)
Gayle I love mixing brushos with water and then painting with them, just a few crystals of brusho in a paint pallet with a couple of drops of water, lovely water colour painting effects. X
There are lots of sellers on Etsy that sell the washi stickers. If you search Floral Washi Stickers, for instance, you should have lots of shops pop up! ❤️
Here’s a thought ... what if you did a light coat of clear gesso or modpodge to put a layer between the tag and water. Seems like the brusho would spread better.
This was fun watching how to use my brushos! The coffee dyed paper looked like an eco print when you finished and I love the effect on white acrylic paint! Time for me to pull them out and do a play session! Do you have a link to the bottles to put Fabri Tac in by chance? Thanks for sharing!
What a fun video! I had never heard of Brushos before. I absolutely love how the tags turned out....especially the bunny one. I headed right over to Jess' shop yesterday and got those labels. Your daily videos are my morning routine. I suffer from chronic pain and get up every morning, take my meds and sit in my recliner to watch your video while I wait for my meds to take hold. Thank you so much for your inspiration and support of our community. ❤
Dayna Kuenstler I do the same thing, Dayna. Living with chronic pain is a pain but when you find someone that can distract you a little and Gayle is good at that 😁 It is a blessing that she uploads every day!
Hi Gayle! You have been such a help to me. I’m almost finished with my first journal, just a few emphemara to make. You have been such a help with this. Thank you so much for sharing your ideas and expertise. Huggles to you and JJ. 💕🥰
You could make them. I have videos on how if you Search Gayle Agostinelli Ephemera Folio on You Tube and the videos should come up. Or you can buy them from www.etsy.com/shop/ShabbyCraftStudio or Bella & Grey on Instagram. 😁❤️
Gayle, if you haven’t watched her yet, look up Tracie at Lavinia Stamps on UA-cam. She uses Brushos to create her backgrounds for stamping. She even uses her jelli pad to create patterns. She is fascinating to watch. She has a video that is titled Brushos. You created beautiful patterns on your tags and I look forward to seeing what you create with them 😊
Lol. I love that you have found brusho! You’re now working with dry pigments. If you were grinding brusho finer and adding a binder or oil you would be making paint like the old masters.. People who still have access to Ritz dye (dry) can achieve similar results. Try more water and tipping the paper to let it run. Blow it with a straw...lol...experiment. :) Pen and ink doodling is fun with brusho. And if you have enough water...then color then rock salt...for some resist fun. A good watercolor paper is fun to experiment. Soak it about five minutes then lay in on plexiglass or wood. Sprinkle the pigment and then tip the board or spray with more water. I think the heat stops the action...set the dye in the paper.
Thanks, Jamie! Yes, anything bought through my website, whether it’s a “favorite thing” or not results in me getting a little something at no additional cost to you. So kind of you and others to shop through it!! Love you, friend! ❤️
Good day, this looks like a lot of fun and addicting, the browns from the coffee dye will alter the pigment dyes which can be fun, but I’m holding out on that wonderful stain in the mail, I wonder if you can mix this with stain?
These prints will make wonderful backgrounds. Love them all. They might just copy very nicely and make tons of prints. 👍🥰
The Brushos look like fun to play with. I love the yellow & green tag for your nature journal. Thank you for sharing 🤗
The brushos look awesome on everything, especially on the glassine bag! I just love mixed media may 🙌 I hope you will continue to do some mixed media in between the journal making, which I also love watching! 💕

I love the Stainz over the brushos....awesome look. Now I know I like it wet first then Brusho. tfs
I like Mixed Media May but I have really missed your journal and ephemera making!!

Oooooh, such fun new items for Show and Tell! Genius products. (My Stainz from Patty Pockets has been ordered.)

Fun stuff!

Thanks, good to know!
I use a push pin in the top of my Brushos. Works like a charm (not my idea, someone else told me about it).
I wonder what the results would be if you sprinkled the brusho directly onto the wet stainz ?
Hi Gayle, loved the brushos.
I would like to know where you get your peel and stick on flowers. I guess you call them washi stickers. 😆 Thank you
There are lots of sellers on Etsy that sell the washi stickers. If you search Floral Washi Stickers, for instance, you should have lots of shops pop up! ❤️
Here’s a thought ... what if you did a light coat of clear gesso or modpodge to put a layer between the tag and water. Seems like the brusho would spread better.
I think that’s a great idea, Jo! I have much more playing to do, so will have to try it!! ❤️
What fun! I’ve never heard of Brushos before! A new thing to play with! 💖
Great, a brush up on Brushos !
I wonder what would happen if you folded a page while it was still wet? Or put another item on top, like you do with gelli painting?
Good morning Gayle 🤗 loved your excitement when you popped the red on the glassine bag!! It is so cool!! 💕
Morning Denise!! They really are so fun to play with! ❤️
Would be interesting to do a side by side with Colour Bursts
I love the brusho's and the tags turned out beautiful. I also love the glasine bag. Wow. Thanks Gayle x

Gayle Agostinelli awesome! Thanks, went up to Amazon and just ordered some!
I recommend watching a few Lavinia Stamp UA-cam videos. She makes incredible backgrounds with Brushos. Have fun with your friend.
Really love how the brushos disperseon the papers. Really gives a wonderful burst on color. Great video, Gayle!
Very nice. Hugs 🤗
Love the brusho technique, will have to give it a try! TFS, your Texas fan, Brenda

The tags all turned out really beautiful. My favorite was the bunny tag. Great video as always. Thanks for sharing with us!
Hi, Gayle. I love the nature type tags you made. Those fern washi stickers sure are pretty. I need to order some. Hope you are all well. Xoxo
😊
❤❤❤❤👀
Gayle, does the new fabric-tac bottle do that "volcano thing"? is it better than the original bottle?
Way better!! ❤️
Oh no, the link to Patty Pockets does not work.
Oopsie! I had an extra space in there. Fixed now! Thanks for letting me know! ❤️

Absolutely loving the mixed media may! Big hugz darlin.
Where did you get the glue bottle for your fabric tack glue. I can’t find it on Gayles Favorite Things.
Happy mail. It’s an icing bottle for cake icing. It came from Amazon. ❤️
OMG! What an ingenious idea!
I am new at this and am collect stuff but I need books like you have to keep my things organized where can I find those types of books?

Hello Gayle, I loved what you did with the Brushos, but I was wondering if the Mica Powder would also work? Just curious about it.
I don’t have mica powder, so can’t speak to that. Sorry to not have an answer for you! ❤️

Brushos work a lot like LIndy's Magicals. I love the effects.
This is kinda like tie dye!
