  • This is another of the lasers Toughbuilt sent us in for a sneak peek and test out.
The Toughbuilt 360 degree rotary level kit.
A massive thanks to ‎@TOUGHBUILTEurope for sending this in so we can all have all get a look at it.
They were kind enough to send in their 3 latest laser tools for a sneak peek. The 30mtr green crossline and 50mtr laser measurer we have already looked at.
This 360 rotary laser is on a different level.
Iv worked on and used a.few rotary lasers before, but this is something else.
Most rotary site levels have a very hollow plastic feel to them. Not this toughbuilt. The unit itself feels solid and robust. Without actulay being too big.
The shape of the unit also, with its 3 handle triangle profile, is actually very practical and easy to hold and use.
Toughbuilt seems to want every tool the make to reflect their name, and every component in this kit, including the laser, seems to do just that. They are strong and robust. No little plastic case reliever here. This receiver has rubber overmoulding, locking clamps, and 4 rollers for it to roll and lock onto the rod easily.
Even the measuring rod itself is over engineered. Colour coded ends for ease of assembly, solidly locks together, and even has built-in neodymium magnets in each section, so all 4 parts stick together when packed away.
This laser, like most other Toughbuilt tools, is simply made tough. There is no other way to describe it.
I can honestly say that I am a massive fan of toughbuilt tools. I love tools and like testing out all new tools, no matter what type or brand. And i would be as happy to test out a budget tool or a top brand tool.
But there are only a few that I get excited about testing. And Toughbuilt is deffinantly one of them.
When most brands release a new tool, it is cool to test it out, but when toughbuilt releases a new tool, there is always something extra, whether it's the build quality or an extra feature. There is always some sort of surprise with Toughbuilt products that I just love to find.

Didn't know Toughbuilt made them.Went to Lowes's website and order one for myself. Because of your short Vlog last night. I wanted one for a while, but the price for the other ones was more than I wanted to pay. Thanks!

Dean, can I ask what is that worktop surface you have. Has a rubber like finish?
Great looking lazor level, was looking at a topcon version last month but just to expensive to justify.

Looks like a nice piece of kit, not sure I'm a big fan of storing all the potentially dirty parts like the tripod in the same case as the the laser and receiver. Also surprised battery change isn't tool-less. Other than that, looks like a solid bundle.

To be fair if it was a latch to change the bats then that will get broke in cold weather, a flat head/coin/key is a much better option in my opinion

About time I replace my old spectra laser. Hey, I don’t recall you ever getting that makita starlock in for repair? How can that be! It’s expensive and from what I see breaks a lot. I’d love to know what I’m doing when I go in to fix that pin release/holding problem
