Toughbuilt where kind enough to send in a few of their new laser tools for a feature and test out.
The 30MTR green cross line.
The 150MTR laser rotary levelling kit.
And this 50MTR laser measurer.
As with most Toughbuilt products, this does not disappoint. This was clearly designed by people already in the trade, and know what the endnuser needs and wants.
The fact that this has a camera and screen took me completely by suprize. I use and have used several laser tapes, and have always found they have the same problem.
Seeing where you are pointing at.
This toughbuilt overcomes that beautifully, even outdoors, you can use the camera to point exactly where you need to be.
Over engineered would be one way to look at this laser tape. Toughbuilt seems to have thought of every aspect and addressed it. Even down to the flip out, stand off so you don't have to place it directly onto a surface.
This is a very cool piece of kit and must have for anyone who is taking large amounts of measurements or measuring large and difficult to reach areas. It also makes working out material quantities a breeze.

Man I can't agree more with you on toughbuilt being in my opinion pretty much always a hit. Over the last two years I've probably bought more than 10 of their products and they have yet to disappoint. I will say I had no idea that this tool did all of the things it does and literally kind of thought it was overpriced when I saw the retail in Lowe's, but I was in my mind comparing that price to lesser units that didn't do any of lesser units that didn't do any of those things and they certainly didn't have a camera. Right now they're out of stock but I think I'll pick one of these up when I get a chance if I get a chance.

Bosch have had a couple of units with camera viewfinders out for a while. The Bosch GLM 150 C was released 5 years ago, even has the same little flip out foot at the bottom (for measuring from a corner of a wall).
But the price difference
My laser measure is Bosch and has a date sticker inside from 2007..... 4 rechargeable AAA batteries and it'll last me weeks before needing charging again.
Whilst this one looks absolutely amazing it also has a plethora of features I genuinely cannot see me using, I'm sure for someone looking for a laser tape this one might just be what they need, whether or not it'll still be functioning in 16 years however....? Probably not.
I have never seen the bosch one here yet. Iv only ever seen a few pictures of it online. But there is a big price difference for the bosch
I currently have a boss green laser but it doesn't have the camera but the benefit is the Bosch has an estimate feature for scale. So I want to estimate in 1/16 or 1/32 I can the previous ones didn't do that and this one's around 200. Does this one have that? Also this one has rechargeable battery as well

Just bought one Dean, piece of crap. Does not connect to the app no matter what you do - maybe there will be an update to the app coming. Not as accurate as you would believe, is actually nearly 1/2 inch off measuring height at a distance.
Will be going back to my trusted cheap Bosch Zamo although it doesn't do anything near what this does.
