As an Irish fan I cannot wait for this. Obviously I want Ireland to smash the boks but whatever the outcome is its just going to be great rugby.

No one ever “smashes” the Boks. You may achieve a close win on the scoreboard but your bodies are going to tell you that YOU got smashed.
The boks have never been smashed. Even if you win by 50 you walk away more bruised than they do. They can lose but they never get smashed

Great selection. Only I would like too see Grant Williams, which is one of that utility backs that can play scrumhalf and wing if any wingers get injured or sent off...
Play an 8-0 split for all I care as an Ireland fan. We've got to be expermental too. I don't care if we win, lose or draw the series. We've got to save the energy for the next world cup.
I do hope Irish players like Tom Ahern, Oli Jager and Jamie Osborne get time

Just my 2 cents. In Rassies book. Justifying his selection of Siya as captain he said he would chose a back other than a 9 as captain, he prefers a loosie. I don’t think he will deviate from this and therefore I think he will stick with Siya.
Also ox and Malherbe sounds amazing and I know we have played them at the same time in the WC. Quite a massive height difference there though (1.9m vs 1.73m)
I agree about Damien, he's one of the best players in the world.
Are not all the top teams loaded with one of the best players in the world?? If we have such a great amount of them, we should be winning our games by greater than one point every time we trot out. Not breathing a sigh of relief just just.
Snyman will give a whole new offensive development depending on who else is playing, exciting. Not to be negative, but Moodie as captain? Does he even have 10 caps? Are you insane?
They can't 7-1 because they will have a problem at 10 and will need an extra backup backline player to cover shifting if needed. Plus, now is the time to bleed in more options at 10 for the future. Like the Sharks 10. 1/1 for Ireland tour. Ireland will target the opening game. Springboks will have most rust at the first game dew to lack of playing for the season.

Only constructive criticism, are we not stuck in WC mind set in picking a team. Feel like we should see a couple of younger guys is the team, or some of those on the starting line up here to form part of the bomb squad.

Andre Esterhuizen has to be started at 12 to improve our variety on attack and strength that channel from a defensive point of view.
Libbok has the bad luck of competing with Handre Pollard who has only performed on a superhuman level over the past two World Cups - making every kick no matter how much pressure or how difficult the kick.
There's no comparison, when pollard entered the game we then began to improve. Besides, let's see how he does for the stormers urc
The dude is a good kicker, But you guys are pushing it. When Libbok was sent off in the first half the game didn't change at all! we were still under pressure.

Yes, we were under pressure, and pollard simply eased the gas between the legs that libbok created in the chamber.

I chose Kleyn and RG over Eben and Franco just because those two play in ireland and are lining up against their munster mates. Also i don't know if marx, kitshoff, kolisi will be match fit by then.

Great selection. However me think get Nohamba on the bomb squad in case of an injury to Polly or Faf. He kicking to posts is quite good.
His kicking is average
His value is his attacking play not his boot

@thembibaardman538 I don't rate him as highly as a flyhalf as many people do. I personally don't think he's a springbok level flyhalf however he 100% is a springbok level scrum half. Just my opinion though

Ireland are clearly the best rugby team ever and the stats prove that, no other team even comes close to the skill of Ireland throughout history. Even if SA win both games its going to be due to home advantage, there, that load of bollox is what this pundit wants to hear from an Ireland fan, just so he can make a video about Irish arrogance. Roos is a penalty machine... they will target him at the breakdown. The same way Springboks targeted Mario Itoje in the British and Irish lions series.
Test rugby is a game of small margins and Roos can cost you.
Question,, what would considering all players age, and everyone is fit what would your 2027 world cup look like?
It will be expected SA to win both tests , players are fresh Irish players after a long season. But recent history shows that whatever SA have thrown at Ireland they come off second best. I just hope they’re great games and Ireland just get 1 result ….🍀🍀🍀🍀

@@davidwalker2402 LOL, talk about selective memory, Ireland won that game by the skin of their teeth after taking out the Boks' flyhalf after 23 minutes, leaving them stuck with an idiot replacement at 10. Had the Boks had anyone else at 10 in the final ten minutes they spent camped in Ireland's 22, they would have scored and won, as they did comfortably in the two games that followed. Not to mention the Boks were suffering under the worst coach of their entire history at the time, yet they still convincingly won that series. Then it would be 8 long years away from home and always at the end of the Bok's season, to Ireland's significant advantage. And yes, that includes the quick hop across the channel to France (a shorter distance than Johannesburg to Cape Town LOL!) with tens of thousands of Irish fans in tow, which was effectively a home game for Ireland! The Paddy's are in for a harsh reality check come July when the boot is finally on the other foot 🤘

The springboks play 13 tests this year. Ireland have been our bogey team. Let them set the record straight and then use the 11 other tests to develop.
