@@michaelpilling531 mine is Ramipril. They have just increased it to 5mg. Have 2 go back in 2 weeks for bloods to check kidney function x

Hi guys, we’ve been catching up on your vlogs from the last couple of weeks as we have been away. Lovely to sit and watch the beautiful scenery and wildlife as we cruise along the canals with you. Paul, your artwork is amazing, you are very talented and you capture the fine detail to bring each piece to life. Anthony, I hope you are feeling better and you’re back to enjoying your meals again. When I saw all that wood stacked near that house, it brought back memories of when I use to help my dad cut and stack wood when I was very young. Simple as in back to the basics that you like, ie the scenery, nature, etc and with the music was beautiful. Never loose the banter, which should be even better with the new mic's. It always surprises me that the wind can push such a heavy narrowboat. I'm never surprised when you see / meet friends, you have so many that the law of averages means that you'll often bump into someone you know. Lovely vlog and to see you three xxx
Exactly that Susan. The simpler things are what makes us most happy. The nature and the tranquility of the canals affords us this special life. We won’t loose the banter. We have such a laugh. The power of nature Susan makes us all realise no matter how great we think we are as a species, Mother Nature has the last say. It was scary and glad Paul was close by. We love how many people we have gotten to know on the canal network and always love seeing a familiar face. Hope you have a lovely weekend ❤

Thanks guys, for taking us along on this lovely cruise but I agree with Kathy Lowe, don't call yourself simple, Paul I think that you meant 'simple expectations' as you are obviously intelligent and very talented. I hope that your blood tests turn out well Anthony but if you do turn out to be Diabetic, I hope that you manage it well and all turns out good. As a Diabetic with hypertension myself I think that medical knowledge is there now so hopefully it should be easier to deal with. Take care and all the best. Stevie

The filming this week has been magical especially with the music you’ve added makes me want to be there ,we have looked for a boat a few times but my husband being 82 and me 74 both arthritics with bad backs and knees don’t think we would manage, so watching your vlogs is the next best thing .Lots of love to the 3 of you xxx

@@anthonysmith-storey9247 it was a really good one although I love them all being brought up in Rufford years ago before it got so big our play ground was the woods at the back of our house it’s called Meresands now it didn’t have a name then watching the birds or the squirrels collecting nuts and building dens to hide in when we bunked of school I did know how lucky I was . Tell Paul I’ve bought a couple of his drawings the squirrel and the hedge hog ,looking at them will remind me of those years xx

@@anthonysmith-storey9247 yes mine too ,my mum died in 2021 at 92 and had lived in Rufford 63 years she was the cook at the hospital for 20 years and a great character always so cheery and full of life ,I miss her so much , she has hedgehogs in her garden she always used to put cat food down for them and leave the apples that fell to the ground from her trees for all the animals and birds her garden was always full of birds there was feeders everywhere and in her last years when she couldn’t get out they where her greatest pleasure,we used to get ducks, pheasants ,woodpeckers that where regulars that came back year after year and squirrels and a fox ,I so didn’t want to sell the house and luckily for me my Grandson has bought it and wants to leave the garden as it is ,so how lucky is that xx
@@kathylowe3402 sorry for your loss Kathy. Your Mum sounds incredible. We used to have a nature friendly garden with a pond and hedgehog house and bay box on the wall. Spookily enough, we were chatting about it today. Glad the house continues in the family and that they will help nature by keeping the garden too. ❤️
Lovely video, definitely don't mind you focusing on the scenery! Paul, if I haven't said before, you really are a talented artist. Your pet portraits are lovely. The hedgehog and robin are adorable. It would be fun to see a high speed version of you working on something, I'm so curious to see how you work, but if you're proprietary about your technique, totally understand. You do such nice backgrounds. I am sorry to hear of Anthony's sleep issues, I'm there too. Just had a sleep study done, NOT fun. My insomnia has gotten worse since I retired last year 🙄. But, enough. Glue some carpet firmly on the wooden steps because Dexter could slip if they're wet. My friend's dog did that and he did the spilts on the laminate floor below too, unfortunately causing crucial ligament and spinal issues, poor thing. x.

So very nice to have breakfast with you 3! Very serene (well, except for the backwash assault! 😝) The scenic shots were lovely! I truly think that we have an imbedded, primeval draw to the smell of woodsmoke, because up until relatively recently, humanity has always been with woodsmoke for cooking (so, all around the globe, even in hot climates) and heating, since time immemorial. Anthony, I hope you are all taken care of, healthwise. I developed high BP when I was steadily taking decongestants for seasonal allergies. I didn't know that they could elevate BP! Found out at a regular dental exam, where they now always check BP as a course of the visit. I was stunned! Now, I only use a nasal spray, localized to the problem area, and that solved the side effect. I look forward to your future vlogs - thank you! Pet Dexter for me. By the way, I saw recently, that there is another Dexter, having had debilitating injury to his front legs as a pup, taught himself how to walk upright on his hind legs, like a human - he's a Brittany Spaniel and is on all social media! www.dexterdogouray.com

I was surprised at the power of the bywash and how it took control of Morning Star. It was unnerving to watch. Thanks for showing it. As for the rest of the 'film', Paul is capable of producing film quality work but I fear that this would be far too demanding of your time, both of you. Keep having fun.

They ONLY reason I watch your vlogs is because of you three. Yes, the scenery is gorgeous and your travels are fun to watch. There's lots of other vloggers doing a similar thing to you guys but they're all missing 3 essential ingredients: Paul, Anthony and Dexter. As I continue to watch new episodes I feel like I'm getting to know you all a little better each time, even if I'm not watching chronologically. What I appreciate about your vlog is who you are as people. You come across very naturally (although perhaps Dexter has you beat there by a hair! Lol), and I really like that. You're not trying to be something you're not. We each bring our own strengths and limitations to a relationship. For example, my wife and I are similar in many ways but we are fundamentally very different people. However, we each accept each other for exactly who we are, warts and all. And I find that you and Anthony (speaking to Paul here) are like two peas in a pod. Different peas that compliment each other perfectly.
So if it weren't for you three and what you bring to the table I wouldn't watch the vlog. You are what it's all about and I enjoy you three very much. You truly seem like good down to earth people, people that I could be friends with if we met in person.
P.S. I've now got my wife hooked on your videos!

As Kathy Lowe says, you complement each other beautifully - my late husband and I were the same, me the academic and Patrick (Patrick Sanders - google him if you like) the artist. If I'm honest, when I saw the title of the vlog (I think you could certainly call it a film btw) my heart sank a bit, as I thought 'oh no, they're going the same way as another couple I used to follow on UA-cam' using attention grabbing titles to draw people in, but you seemed genuinely to be worried about losing focus on how you saw the vlog going originally. All I can say is that I have been with you all along the way the last two years and I have enjoyed every single vlog you have uploaded. I have felt a little less alone and a little less trapped when I was in my house alone during COVID and now that things are opening up again it's been a real pleasure watching your travels whilst starting my own tentative journeying whilst still grieving. So what I am trying to say is you two keep doing what you're doing and before you know it you'll be looking at 22K subscribers and more! Wishing you both (Dexter too!) a lovely week. xx

You’ve missed your vocation, some lovely photography and footage. For me, 5.33 and onwards the swans in the background stretching their wings - just beautiful and your musical deliberations were definitely worthwhile (as is your closing credit choice - love that!). Hi Paul, Anthony and Dexter Dog. Paul what a beautiful opening chat. Both you and Anthony have very special talents, which makes you such a great couple. Not forgetting Dexter-Dog who is as Super-Kool as his Dads. The editing of your Vlogs is always so well thought out and executed. For example in the early part of this week's Vlog, when Paul moors the boat up, there are 3 different angle shots, so obviously at least 3 takes. I really appreciate the effort you put into making your Vlogs look seamless. The Music choice is always the right choice that matches the shot. It was funny when Anthony popped up from out of the Galley (when we all thought he (Anthony) was asleep, and Paul said here he is, and Anthony was looking to see who it was! So funny. You guys are so wonderful together. Anthony, well done in controlling the boat when you were being pushed against the bank by that strong wash. Loved the couple of Beeps over the S/T during the water wash incident, so funny but very understandable. A beautiful cruise finishing by the "Beep Beep" bridge (I'm smiling again). Really enjoyed the video the area that I know quite well our last boat trip was about five years ago with our grand children and we hired a boat fromm Andersons boat yard had my forth covid vaccination on the 10th of october and two days later I started with Gastritis again I‘ve been ill ever since was in hospital for two days and now I feel much better I‘m sure itwas to do with the vaccination I have been fine all summer anyway lovely seeing you both again and the area that you are in till next time take care both of you Anne 🇨🇭x
Hey Anne. Lovely stretch of canal that. Sorry you ended up poorly. I have had loads of patients who reckon they have symptoms ranging from reduced shoulder movement to irregular periods that they attribute to the vaccine. Hope you are having a nice Sunday ❤️

What I wouldn't give for a warm day. 🥶 It's 32F with 20mph winds so being sunny pretty much means nothing. It is bitter cold and I truly hate it. Could be worse, of course. At least there aren't massive amounts of snow like in the North East US. 🌨
Sorry to hear about the blood pressure and I hope it isn't coupled with diabetes. I'm on 3 meds for HBP. I know if I did better with sodium it could probably come down a bit, but food doesn't have much taste without salt. I try to use other spices as much as I can, but I'm sure I could do better. 🙄 Looking forward to the first chat! It's a monumental day. 🙂 Have a great week! ❤
Hey Dorothy. Glad you liked. I loved the mist scenes and the music. Paul did well. The bywash was rough. Totally took the boat by surprise. I am not envious of your weather either. Definitely glad no snow through. They have put me on meds for BP but they don’t think I have diabetes so that is good. I try and use pepper in replacement to salt but veg isn’t the same without salt in the cooking water.

@@anthonysmith-storey9247 I'm so glad that diabetes isn't a part of the problem. The meds for the BP should get it down. I'm vegetarian so I need salt. I do love vegetables but they have little flavor on their own. Reaching for salt perks them up. Packaged foods have lots of salt as well. I know I could do better! NY state has 6+ feet of snow already and more snow is on the way. Later. ❤
Great video, yes sometimes it is easy to forget the important things in the hurry to get other stuff done. I am not as adventurous as you guys so I am in a conventional house although I get a bit of a taste as I watch the deer in the field and the shimmering river, all with my dafty dog by my feet. In these times I guess we should all take a minute to appreciate the good stuff. Looking forward to your next one
