    I've been into bikini kill since I was a kid and had no clue they were together! Also i wrote Kathleen a letter when I was like 14 and she actually wrote back, twice!! She has no idea what it meant, the second letter was just ,"good luck starting your band", scribbled in a piece of pink tissue paper with a le tigre flyer, which was new to me at the time .. the first letter she hand typed and signed, was very personal, because I had originally wrote to her pouring my teenage heart our to her .. I wrote to many bands as a kid and shes the only one who actually wrote back ! I did end up starting a girl hardcore punk band with a friend we called pantychrist, out of hamilton Ontario canada, we did pretty good until my singer went to prison

    Having grown up on Adam's music, and as a longtime sufferer of Lyme disease, who's looked to Kathleen for inspiration, I gotta say thanks for posting.
    She's right: Lyme disease is _"like being in the pit of hell"._ As a creative person, having your productivity taken from you is the worst thing in the world, along with the physical/mental/emotional grind of the illness. Sick men feel those same feelings of guilt and burden she talks about, and there are a lot of women who'll leave chronically sick men, believe me. It is incredibly hard to see a loved one suffer and many can't cope, or simply say "I didn't sign up for this." It's not for the weak.

    • @General_Junkie
      @General_Junkie 2 роки тому

      If you don't think Dan Rather pushed or spun fake narratives or propaganda then you are sincerely naive. That stuff has been going on almost since the inception of the nightly news. You ever hear of Operation Mockingbird? Well there ya go and it was happening before it even had a secret cool CIA name. The TV has been by far the biggest weapon and tool used by the government and military and heavily by the deep state to brainwash and indoctrinate the masses. The US is by far the most indoctrinated and brainwashed society in the world and remains that way today. Not that most will admit this thus the success of the brainwashing cuz that was part of it. Getting people to seek out their own truths or answers or narrative was thought to be crazy or lunacy and to say that you thought your government was lying to you and not looking out for your best interest was akin and in many cases still is to blasphemous. It's just harder for them to hide this nowadays because of the internet and massive amounts of available information out there and other technology such as smart phones with their cameras and audio recording capabilities. So Dan Rather answered to those above him and reported on things that weren't on the straight and narrow or were even straight to begin with and knowingly did this. I guarantee he knowingly did it too. But that contract you signed that came with alot of money and a big spotlight and notoriety also came with alot of clauses that weren't very honorable, truthful, respectable, misleading and probably got alot of people killed, hospitalized, jailed or had many other negative effects in other ways because they believed the shit he was spinning. It had positive effects as well but it had negative ones that could have been 100% avoidable if he told the truth that his overlords or contract forbid him to do. He was just another tool in the toolbox or weapon in the arsenal of the evil overlords of this world. Sad but true.

    God i miss the boys together, Adam Y. Is a loss I'll never get over, was rockin the boys since I was 11 in 1987, my older brother played them and it was love at 1st rhyme, There will never be a trio like this, they've locked this format style of 3 MCs down, anyone to TRY and do it would instantly be compared to them, so when comes to this type a shit they paved the way. MCA is one of my heroes too, he was definitely the most articulate of the group, I love Flowin' Prose MCAs alone and those lyrics are deep and inspiring. He's got depth of perception in his text y'all!

    This was great. It took Adam a while to answer sincerely, but once he did it was a great interview. I have criticism for the editing showing a preponderance on License to Ill era footage, got old after a while. Good stuff.
