I've been rocking with the Beastie Boys since I was 14 I'm now going to be 50 and it is finally apparent to me that I was raised by single mom and the Beastie Boys. Had the privilege to see them four times in my lifetime they are the soundtrack to my life in my opinion the greatest group to destroy any boundary in their way and they never forgot their roots and always looking out for the little guy. And to top it off I'm going to a Beastie Boy X abyssion tomorrow and I can't wait
yup me too.I saw the Licensed Too Ill Tour with Public Enemy and Murphy's Law open up for themIi didn't know what to expect and then comes this Hardcorepunkrock bandi fell in love with their don't give a fuck attitude but not being offensive. Then Paul's Boutique blew my mind! i was hooked !
i'm 54 going on 18.....B-boys were and remain one of the mainstays of my existence going way back. This album particularly. Peace, love and respect. Out. xx
Nobody can find the fountain of youth because Beastie Boys already found it. They sprinkled it all on their beats. You listen then you’ll remain young forever ;)
26:53 Ad Rock- So what your'e saying ..."I was in a Mall in Texas Trippin Balls" Funny, when I was at the 'Check Your Head' show in Dallas trippin balls, I was thinking the same thing. This smile box is amazing....
“And now I'd like to pass the mic to the A So what's your name, Yauch? My name is MCA I've been coming to where I am from the get go Find that I can groove with the beat when I let go So put your worries on hold Get up and groove with the rhythm in your soul “ My favorite rhyme from Pass the Mic. He is missed by so many but never forgotten. Hip hop royalty always ❤️
I would also like to say how amazing is it that they made so much music that they have to remember what's going on during the second biggest album of their career. Outstanding!
I´m 40 years strong and since 3 decades a Beastie. Was 11 at their gig back then (Ill communication tour feb.11th 1995 in Hamburg Germany. Check your head opened up this world for me, one of the best records I've ever heard in my life.
This album changed my entire mindset & it took me a few listens' to appreciate it. Weed Wear baseball caps (Black cap w/ green pot leaf) were in great demand & hard to find. Their clothing shop sold them. $35 in 1993. I got one & I became a legend. I was so fortunate to be a teenager in the 1990's Good times. I also saw them live @ the Hollywood Palladium: House of Pain & Firehose (Thunderous Bass Guitar) opened the show. My best friends sister took us & the next week they invited me to see The Red Hot Chili Peppers headline w/ Nirvana & Pearl Jam opening but I passed 😢. Because I didn't like Pearl Jam. (At the time) I regret that foolish decision
They seem so cool and chill. I was born in 2008 so I will never get the chance to see em’ live. I love finding videos like this. All 3 of them look like they have such cool stories. Thanks man!
Thanks a lot! This is so rope! ... I just heard the interview with Rick Rubin and they said they need to bring back the term "rope". I'm just doing my part.
Wow today i listened Beastie Boys for the first time Watcha Want man i gotta say it was Kosher and then listened to Sabotage Jesus its the best rap I've ever heard from the 90s by a mile
And the gift just KEEPS ON GIVING! This is fabulous! great to see the guys talking about this giant album. (Finally got it on vinyl last weekend and it sounds sweet!) Funky as hell! Many thanks 😊
I knew there was a commentary, but never knew there was a video for this too! @Beastie Boys Collection thanks for all the work you do! One thing I'd like to see is playlists for live shows/albums/compilations. I know that's additional work, but maybe there's app or a service for this.
Did I say it already tho... i could never figure out what dude was sayin... "i wanna hear the part again" i was like "whale is in the barn?" And yauch from the grave really makes it a point to point that out, so so weird
@@milokt5391 third bass dissed the beastie boys. So what you want was the first release after that diss. If you listen closely it could be a come back.

Get the audio book as well if you don’t already have it 👍
They're pretty amazing. They never used racial slurs to grow their brand bruh. They were everything from heavy metal to rap/electronic stuff.
Same as bro
I actually think that Mike D is an underrated drummer
Beastie Boys are the shit still
👍
@@BeastieBoysCollection want some flute, i got the flute chops, luv you guys.....luv ya all beastie boys
They were one of the only groups that stayed true to real hip hop with the beats, lyrical style, and use of the dj. The best.
This is huge. God bless.
👍
It’s amazing that not even a minute in and all three question he validity of each others story. Such a great dynamic
👍
I’m so glad they did this with all their albums before mca passed such history here

Saw the tour for CYH in Adelaide in '92. Venue only held 400.. best concert ever!

seriously if you like rap or progressive music you need to give Beastie's mad prop's
Happy 30th anniversary to this great album.
This is a gift. Thank you.
ok, 1 more.... the affirmative nod by both Adams at 24 minutes when Mike says "a big closet".
Favorite Beastie Boys’ album. Precious words from them, I guess it’s part of foundation to the Pizza book. Thanks for the upload.
This is incredible & made my day. Thanks for posting

Where did you find it on vinyl? Order online? Didn't know if Capitol may have it on their website. Still my fav of their career.
@@mattshelnutt882 fairly easy to find I think here in UK..the 2009 remastered is very good indeed
This is fantastic, and I'm gonna need a whole lot more of this!
BRO CANNOT WAIT FOR THE OTHER VIDEO COMMENTARIES TO COME OUT
Stay tuned. We have a lot more to come.

@@BeastieBoysCollection That’s great news. I’m pretty sure it wasn’t like this before. Or maybe I’m hallucinating from the heatwave. Thanks again!
It’s been like that since the beginning 👍
This is massive thanks for
51:30 All three of them are in a trance induced by their own creation.
how have only known about this today?! thank-you..better late than never! ❤LOVE this album...poss my favourite of theirs..
👍
Omg where was this, so nice hearing yauch
i love the fact that In Three’s is not in 3/4. Mike’s playing a straight 4/4 beat the entire time
This is sweet, answers so many nerd questions, but brings up like a million more... like... did mario beat them?
Musical genius shit goin on n on. B-boy 4 life! Miss you Yauch!! Mike n Adam, do at least one more jam together, please!!!!!!!
First time I seen beastie boys was 1994 Lalapaloza.....
Shout out to the producer Mario C who helped shaped this legendary album. Peace out.
Holy sh… how amazing is this
Thanks!
👍
Cool hangout video. But damn, this was only a few months before MCA was diagnosed with cancer
SUPER
👍
🔥🔥🔥😍🔥🔥🔥 Love!
OK this is gold...
Betnun Music. BRING IT !
Live at PJ's i scream too
Love it, can you upload the ill communication commentary? Thank you!

I have all four of the audio versions burned on CD’s LOL
👍
YAUCH.. my Man...that was dumb.🤣
This is both super entertaining but hard to watch at the same time...
Where is license to ill commentary at?
I always pictured them wearing lab coats while doing this for some reason.
In the future will there be any chance you’ll post The Jerry Lewis?
You never know 👍
We would love to release it now but without permission we won’t.
Understandable. Fingers crossed 🤞
MCA🙏🏻❤️
What year was this?
who own's the tape's of the first album?
Arrrr the boy's gonna make an album with rick again;;you think? could make some booty!
AD Rock and Mike D. Do a record and a tour. I don’t care what you Call it. Just do it.
I would give ANYTHING for that
Yeah I saw Ad Rock said he hasn’t recorded a song since 2012/2013
Wonder if so what cha want was a diss to 3rd Bass.

On “Professor Booty”, MCA addresses MC Serch directly.
