Great visibility from the pilothouse. Impressive. And a super nice salon for a 47. I have been on a number of these over the years and have always admired them. They don't look like a rocketship but they they are loaded with everything you need for a great time out on the water cruising. No wonder they sold so many of them.
For 17-18 knots, it looks like that flag should be flapping a bit more than it is. But this is an excellent lesson in due diligence when buying a boat.
The engine seems extremely noisy. Does noise level lower when engine hatch is closed ? I would think so. However, that loud noise would drive me crazy. Nice boat though.
It’s about half as loud with the engines covered up. It is pretty loud tho all bayliners are kinda like that. I’d say it’s a little too loud to be white noise
Those temperature guns as an HVAC technician here are wildly inaccurate depending on what material you’re shooting them at also the beam spreads out gradually so it’s getting an average of the entire engine temperature do you wanna do it properly hook up a temperature probe to a multimeter and strap it with insulation around it directly to the coolant outlet heading to the heat exchanger I’d also check the after cooler air charge temp in and out and if the owner was ok with it a mechanical gauge taped into the oil system boat gauges are always wildly inaccurate lastly oil smell and blurb the throttles at idle and see Smoke level all thos mechs onboard and not one can tighten up that transmission oil cooler line for the guy lol prob with a old timer owned boat is it’s prob never been run up to full rpm full load so thos 6bts never get hot or have max water flow flowing threw them it his baby I get it I’d service the after coolers first and de scale them then the heat exchanger maybe even run Barnacle buster descaling solution threw everything works great then pull all 6 injectors and have them cleaned and or tips replaced new belts keep the old for backups new raw impellers check for old bits broken off inside the housing engine coolant water pumps easy 2 bolts to take out new thermostats full oil change and premium donoldson or better oem Cummins filters new fuel filters and your set o lastly if the killer dowl pins have not been secured definitely do that first trust me when u bust a hole threw your gear case housing and u have oil gushing everywhere and basically a full top end including cam removal job job to do ull kick yourself for not spending 5 $ on a washer and some gaskets the first time if no one is sure if it’s been done just open the front gear case cover and check for yourself it’s easy love Cummins but what the heck lol they sound great and healthy tho like a pair of Sewing machines
These are notorious for being over propped from the factory. If you are unable to hit 3000 RPM at full throttle you are over propped and will experience reduced engine life.

Вода из патрубка может попасть в фильтр и будет гидроудар?
Test being done out of Santa Barbara Harbor?
Yes, this is Santa Barbara. I record sea test for the buyers. This one has a new captain.
Nice boat but that engine room doesn't look enjoyable to work in.
