Go Baby Go

Recently, the Kiwanis Club of River Forest/Oak Park, in partnership with the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab and Shriners Hospitals for Children - Chicago, hosted a Go Baby Go workshop benefiting the Illinois Spina Bifida Association and 12 young children with conditions such as spina bifida, cerebral palsy and scoliosis. Teams of engineers retrofitted battery cars for toddlers with paralysis so that they can enjoy the physical and social benefits of mobility, empowering them to be part of the action at home and on the playground.
