In my opinion the Deinosuchus is one of the best designed playable creatures in any dinosaur survival game. The cool/fluid movement & the fact you jumpscare anyone you attack is awesome!
i would argue its the worst designed, due to the fact you either A:drink at place deinos cant swim in so they cant get you. or B: drink somewhere else and gamble and hope you don't die. option A gives deinos no chance of getting food, which is not fair and option B is just chance, with certain areas raising or lowering the chance of death. plus the fact deino combat is the worst out of every playable.

I've never played any of these games, but your story adventures whilst still talking some game mechanics and how it works mixed with your story telling.. It's sublime mate.

I'd venture to guess that when you were "found" in that bush by the carno that they were indeed using ESP hacks. I use that spot to grow deinos often and you're very well hidden there and he wasnt nearly far enough away for that bush to not be rendered in.

He was hoping for an easy afk snipe. He knew how big he was because it's information provided by the hacks. Hacking is sadly extremely prevalent in The Isle. Let's say he's given the benefit of the doubt, walking up and zooming your camera in all the way and walking around to see if you're body blocked is a much more normal way to bush check - not instantaneous biting. Unless you already knew what was in there.

I haven't seen the Isle in... years, it's honestly kind of shocking how good the game is looking now with actually realistic interactions based on species, size and mass of individual beasts. Watching this felt borderline like a wild nature documentary.

Owl if you use E to eat the organs when they are on the floor they give you a much higher amount of nutrients than swallowing them. You can pick them up out of the pile one by one and fill your diet that way and then use the corpse to fill the rest of your food bar.

If you hold down your "grab" key you can actually grab bigger dinos. You just can't run with it and it drains stam but it helps to at least move the body a ways

In reality crocodiles are the most biologically perfect animals, they can’t die from old age, they’re patient hunters, have extremely think skin and haven’t changed in millions of years. If that’s not perfect evolution I don’t know what is.
I mean, most animals don't die from old age. In fact, most humans don't die from old age alone, when we say that we usually mean they died from some illness that becomes more likely and more deadly with age.
Also, there are many species and subspecies of crocodiles, so obviously there isn't 'the' perfect form and obviously they still change. A lot of prehistoric crocodiles were for example a lot more terrestrial. Every animal alive today is just as "modern" as we are, even when the changes were more subtle.

Biological immortality simply means they could live for as long as they like however they still suffer from becoming weaker with age, the bowhead whale is biologically immortal and has some of the strongest cancer fighting genes in the animal kingdom
The Greenland shark is also biologically immortal being able to live for hundreds of years.

Most animals die because they get too slow and weak to run away from predators or get killed in a duel with a younger competitor or get injured or sick and can't recover from it because of their age. And most humans who "die from old age" actually die from heart failures or aneurysm. Those are things someone can theoretically die from at any age, but it just get increasingly likely to not get over it the older you get. When people say someone died from old age, it's basically just saying "Well, they got sick and couldn't recover from it, but they were in an age were it was expected that they wouldn't make it". When people die "peaceful in their sleep" it's usually because they get food, saliva or other fluids into their lungs and die from pseunomia. There is no point where the body would just stop working because it just decides it lived long enough or something like that.
And Greenland sharks aren't biologically immortal, they just have long livespans, reaching adulthood at 150 years or so and typically living around 250 years and up to 500 years in some cases. They just age very slowly, but they do age and eventually reach an age where they will die from minor injuries or sickness like the rest of us.

The only way I survive as an adult Dieno is by killing other adult Deinos and killing any young Dienos, so they don't become adults. Got to get that first bite. Can't be an Apex predator if there are other apex predators also.
