I fucked up my knee wearing a regular soccer cleats on turf! As soon as I wore the shoes I realized the my feet are stuck in the ground and I can’t smoothly switch or turn directions!!! I continued until I made a sudden change indirection where my foot was stuck in the ground while turning on my knee!!! I am buying a turf shoes now just for that!!!
Great video, I’m just a kid that loves football and in my compound I have a football field, it is a artificial field as well. I really didn’t know what type of AG it was and I used football boots obviously. I have a pair of Nike Mercurial Vapor 12 Academy’s which come in an MG sole plate, when I wore them on my field it was okay and I have worn them a lot and no injuries (besides slipping on a ball and fracturing my wrist). I watched your video to find out the difference because I didn’t know what shoes to use and it helped me figure out that mine is probably turf. All my friends do use FG soleplates on the grass which is what made me wonder so much. It doesn’t hurt that bad when you fall though, it is kind of like big sand with short green pieces on it. I did buy a pair of Mercurial Superfly V’s in FG which I am scared to use now on the pitch. Glad I could help. If the only pair you have to use in an AG pitch is FG, then use it. If you have a turf shoe I would suggest that you wear those shoes instead, unless you want a more aggressive traction. It all depends on what makes you feel more comfortable.
Search "whats the difference between artificial grass and turf" by soccer reviews for you. He said AG stud pattern boots are thr best for artificial grass (ag studs are cleats designed specifically for artificial grass surfaces not turf) but said Turf shoes are the best for turf and good for artificial grass if you understand what im saying

For Americans who panic so much over anything that might be appropriating sth from other cultures, this has been the biggest appropriation when the whole world loves a sport and you just go ahead and steal its name (for a sport where you barely ever kick the ball which makes no sense whatsoever).
