Just installed this today (purchased mine from Holdcom parts in WA) and have some tips for anyone trying this:
    1. The 12 pin audio plug on the device that plugs into the Aux input has 3 wires going into it (left speaker, right speaker and common ground). From the comments it seems these can be different colours - mine were red, yellow and white. Mine were on the right hand side, but they were ALL in the wrong place so when I plugged it in, the sound was gutless and the left channel only was coming through both speakers.
    2. The aux socket pins in the car you are looking to connect to are as follows (looking at the Aux socket (not the plug on the device) 12 pins - top row left to right is 1-6 and bottom row left to right is 7-12): pin number 5 is Left speaker input, pin number 11 is right speaker input and pin number 6 is commond ground. If you google "VE Commodore Video and Audio Input Diagram" there is a universalfuze PDF that comes up that has the perfect diagram to show the Audio input Pin Layout.
    3. I had no guide for the colour of the wires on my device so just had to switch them around until they were correct. On mine that ended up being Yellow (Left) in position 5, White (Right) in position 11, and red (common ground) in position 6.
    4. Best way to achieve #3 above is to play a song that you know has left and right speaker. For me it was Van Halen "Unchained" because I know the guitar is only in the left speaker and the Bass is only in the right so you can pan the balance left and right to see (a) you're getting stereo and (b) the left and right channels are correct. Just keep switching the wires around those 3 positions until it is correct.
    5. Switching the wires around in the connector is easy, you just hold down the tab on the white plastic outer so you can slide the black connector block out sideways, then you need a fine screwdriver or somethng fine and pointy to press into the metal tab inside the little holes so you can slide the connectors out - for each connector you have to press twice (in 2 stages) to slide the little connector out of the black block, then you can switch them around to get it correct.
    6. Some people have said the sound has no guts/bass - don't forget, this Rear Aux input it has it's own independent Bass, Treble and/or EQ settings - it doesn't use your CD or other Aux settings, so there are set to nothing by default, adjust the bass & treble and it should be fine
Hope that helps... thanks Sutho for this video, there's no way I would've figured out the above if it wasn't for you flagging the problem with the pins being out of place in your one, Cheers
