Honestly, there was a huge burden lifted off my shoulders when I finally made the decision to pursue a field I truly felt like I would excel in. I hope my 3 summary points on my decision-making process will be helpful for those in a similar situation!
Feel free to ask questions :)

You talk like people in my circle of friends: pursuing efficiency in life but also knowing it's not a race. Love seeing people of similar minds and thinking process out there! Subscribed! I love seeing what people like us do in different parts of the world. It's like seeing those alternative paths I didn't take being taken by other people and learning/experience/living vicariously and etc. love it! Keep it up! :)

Thank you wholeheartedly for your opinions on how to choose a career path or even just how to live a life! I also spent a whole lot of time having detours, but like you said nothing goes to waste.

Thank you for making this video. I am grade 12 right now and applying to uni. I am afraid that I will regret of choosing the program that I have applied to. But after watching your vid, and it made me to once again understand there is nothing that is acutally right or wrong, or regretting what to choose. Everything has their value and it won't hurt at all. Even though I am still worrying of my future, but I am just gonna live in the moment and carry to my next step in life.

This is just what I needed! I just graduated college and even though I took up a degree that would lead to the career path I wanted, I still think that my experiences (mostly work) isn't related to that at all. But as you said, all experiences teaches you something that will benefit you in the future. I would love to see more of these contents especially on how you prepare for a job interview (or even a resumé). Thank you for the motivation Sherry!

Hi Sherry, I’ve also changed career path, a big deviation from my bachelor degree which is Biotechnology.. currently I’m working in an engineering company which is completely different from what I’ve studied in university. However, I took this as an opportunity and challenge to learn in order to adapt to a complete new environment. Along the way, I’ve met wonderful and experienced colleagues and managers that are always there to provide coaching and mentoring to me. Without them, I’ve wouldn’t able to be what I am today so kudos to them 👏🏼👏🏼 anyways, hope you’ll achieve your goal in becoming a successful lady boss. 💃🏻

Well saying sherry thanks for making me to clear up my mind that what kind of my future path should go for.( sorry for the bad English as I’m one of your Hong Kong viewer) I’m currently studying biomedical science in hku but i still want to be a doctor but it seems a bit hard to do so and I’m pretty confused with my future to either continue on to work at the laboratory or transfer to another subject though. Thanks for letting me know that even though I may choose another career which’s unrelated to the subject I used to study in the secondary school or even uni, but nothing is wasted and it’s acceptable. :)

Hey Sherry! Your videos are always so inspiring. Did my undergrad degree with the mindset to pursue law school but switched career path to digital marketing and it has been the best decision I've made. Being in a job with responsibilities that will be good stepping stones for a future job is what keeps me motivated to do my best everyday and continue learning. Keep up the good videos! :D

      @@sherrybyw I do have questions! 😍
So since you said you are always passionate about business, how would you describe your passion? Are you the kind of person that like to take the initiative to approach people? Do you consider that you have the business eyes? (sorry all the questions are a bit personal)
I have the uncertainty about myself in terms of taking the business path, but somehow I have the interests in it. So I wish I could take a look from the others especially from you as a reference.
      Thank you!

Hey Sherry! I've been watching your videos for more than a year now and I just wanna say you're an amazing creator, definitely a role model for all young Asian women out there! I basically went through the same journey as you! I have an honours degree in biomedical science, after 3 years of the degree, I soon realised it is not the career path I wanted to pursue. The journey to changing career path was so exhausting but I'm glad that I made it through with a Masters in Marketing and I'm starting my own business right now! You're not alone Sherry! and I'm so proud of you! if you're ever coming to Melbourne or Malaysia, I'd love to know you more in person, to connect and share some experiences that we have! All the best in your new job! and looking forward to more great content of yours! :D

1:55 I think planning life from hardcore causation can be hard if you want to leave some room for exploring hidden strengths you didn't know might suit you better. And you do sound like having an entrepreneurial spirit. Entrepreneurship is not about starting up a company and running it - that quickly becomes all management and is a very different passion than innovation/entrepreneurship.

I too mismatched my studies and career, majoring in social science and ending up in IT. Similar to you, I've been building and maintaining computer systems since the 1st grade. Though I started the adulting in 2010 (still in the economic downturn) so my switch took years as opposed to months. But it is true that those years of study weren't wasted: compared to my peers I write and communicate better to an often non-tech audience because of those learnings in social psychology and exercises in writing.
I'm curious, what have you noticed from pre-med that has helped in your path to financial ventures and investments?
