I lived there during my university studies in Geography with German as a part-time mature undergraduate in the mid-1990s, working as an intern with a bus company while I performed the research work for my Final-Year Project, so thank you for these revelations, Sergio. I remembered the Spanish for Aachen, Aquisgrán, from the various tourist guides in different languages and I can see that I have now learned the Spanish for Antwerp, Amberes, too. It is quite astonishing that the city's post office is featured in the commentary as I made a few visits there during my time in Aachen.

I find it funny that this video is about Aachen but the map you use doesn't have Aachen on it. Good job Skippy.

It's crazy the Americans and British arrived in Germany by 1944 but weren't able to take the Capital it was the Red Army

@@myhonorwasloyalty bro it wasn't just about lend lease that's a myth Germany lost the war as soon as they failed to capture Moscow, Leningrad which was early stages of operation Barborossa the Battle of Stalingrad was the final straw for Germany Red Army was just able to advance so quickly and break enemy lines compare to the Americans and British

@@myhonorwasloyalty Was just the endless charge onto German positions, The Western allies valued their troops more so used completely different tactics.

That was super smart on on general Eisenhower's part he knew how many casualties and how many minutes was going to take Berlin he said it's a lot of casualties why not let the Soviets take Berlin that's what the Germans did to them I feel like that was the right things you do Eisenhower new Hitler was going to fight to the last

The US army was not really experienced. Between September 1944-December 1944, the US experienced high casualties from the battle of Aachen, Hürtgen Forrest and the Ardennes offensive .
