    The RocketFire does not look like it lights the fire as fast as the GrillGun, which uses the regular coleman type propane or large propane tanks.. it will be interesting to see what they are selling it for and what the tanks sell for..

    It always makes me laugh when people try to find the fastest way to light their pits to only than wait 4 to 16 hours depending on types of meat to smoke. Doesn't make much sense considering.

    Interesting. The rocketfire torch looks pretty interesting and could definitely be a winning idea. However, I don't care how much 'heat shielding' you attach to it, there is no way I would hang it on the side of a pit barrel cooker or any other cooker for that matter. Oh, and the ribs looked great too.

    Great color on those ribs Greg. I like how you through everything but the kitchen sink into that sauce! It's hard to beat the flavor you get when smoking on the PBC and I know those ribs were some mighty fine eating. Cool looking rocket gun too! I like that you can change out the tip depending on what you will be firing up. And I like your new backyard and outdoor kitchen! I'm guessing it was your brother-in-law house? LOL Cheers to ya brother!!!

    Hey Greg! Like the idea of that sauce! Too bad about those gouged ribs........and in a nice way you explained to your viewers to NOT BUY them when they look like this.
    That was cool of you to give some exposure to this new product. I'm sure I'll be shocked at the price.......but my weed burner has done just fine for me.

    Enjoyed this video, and I liked the simplicity of the sauce. When people start adding oyster sauce, Hoisin sauce, and 15 other sauces, it gets so complicated that I'll never attempt it. T-Roy commented that you threw the kitchen sink in there, my observation was quite the opposite.

    Greg, I got a pit barrel a month ago. Did baby backs and they were good but cooked too fast and too hot. I even used half of the charcoal recommended at the beginning. I’m at 5515 feet and the damper was 3/4 open. The temperature was 350 and I usually slow cook at 270. Any ideas? Doug ex Mission Viejo friend of Kurzet’s.

    I'll stick with my chimney which is more than fast enough. I light it and go get things together and bring them out in time for me to dump into the grill. That product looks cool, but IMO is just a waste of money regardless of the actual cost which I'm sure is not going to be cheap. Then you have to worry about getting refills and shipping costs that continue to add up... hard pass. I get free paper with my mail almost daily : )

      @David-burrito 5 років тому

      Wayne, I go to just plain ol' Vons, buy a roast and ask the meat cutter to take off the bones and leave plenty of meat on them, and then tie them back on. Then it's my choice to turn them loose or leave them on.

    • @prevost8686

      David Orona Unfortunately here on the East Coast where I’m at a real meat cutter is a thing of the past. Everything is shipped in precut and prepackaged. The only grocery store here that even has decent meat couldn’t even shorten the bone on a tomahawk ribeye for me. He said their “meat dept” didn’t have anything that would cut a bone....

    • @David-burrito

      @@prevost8686 I completely understand. Growing up here in the East County of San Diego, we used to have a facility called Meat Packers Market where the railroad ran right to them, unloaded cows on the hoof, and meat came out of the doors. I used to deliver produce to them. Yes, those days are gone.
