The sad part about Katherine is that she had a chance at a family with Elena, Stefan, Damon and everyone. If she had remorse for the terrible things she did, she could have had a redemption arc. Instead she betrayed everyone and ended up alone in the world and unloved.

yeah, i kinda wished she had a redemption arc because the writers made it seem like she was. they said that they had to kill off katherine because it was too exhausting for nina to play both roles. but even so, they didn’t need to keep her being evil.
