I'm thinking it was actually Lewis who made it back to Remnant and wrote the book, as a way to memorialize and immortalize his sister. Also, interesting that the Cat genuinely wants to get to Remnant; seems rather focused on doing so. What if the Curious Cat is actually the Jinn-Like being that lives inside the Crown of Choice (Beacon Relic)....that would line up with Ozpin's making it bit more "challenging" to find.....
The sky behind them lights up in the color of their respective auras as the storm fades; it's a really nice touch....the Punderstorm also prods them....when they think the big thing but don't say it yet, the storm widens the gap as if to say "quit pussy-footing around and just SAY IT."

There was so many haters and bigots who came out to dump on the show for this episode. They showed up like a zerg swarm. I really don't understand how anyone doesn't realize that Yang and Blake have been in a relationship for quite some time now. There has been loose flirting and suggestions between them as far back as Volume 1. If people don't approve of them, whatever everyone can have their opinion. But the level of toxicity and vile hate these people specifically have towards this honestly makes me think they shouldn't be watching the show cause they're clearly not having a good time. As part of the LGBTQ myself, I gotta say those who are homophobic or transphobic can just shove off, we don't need that in the fandom of the show. Some people ship Blake and Sun together and I've no issues with people wanting whatever ships they like but for me I don't think that would have worked out because while he's a great friend, Sun is way too pushy and invasive for Blake to be romantically with him. She slapped him two separate times back in Volume 4 and 5 for that exact reason.
I tried not to discuss the hate in this video, I think I gave it all of 30 seconds of my attention because this was a happy day, not a day to call out hate. Bumbleby means the world to me, and it’s a story I plan on making a separate video on someday because I’m not quite ready to talk about it yet, but I was just using this time to celebrate the fact that it’s actually real and I wasn’t dreaming. The way I see it, ship who you wanna ship (within reason, don’t be shipping illegal or abusive stuff), but don’t be rude to those who ship something different than you. And transphobes/homophobes can get right off of my page, me and my channel will always be a safe place for anyone in the LGBTQ+ community.

I'm very late to the party, but I've been watching so many react channels recently since it was announced that Viz Media got RWBY (RIP Rooster Teeth) and I have to share my own two cents of beauty for this episode. Arryn and Barbara did an episode of Always Open right after this episode aired where they pretty much only talked about Bumblebee, and Arryn said she hoped Blake's kind of quick reply of "I love you too" wasn't too quick or abrupt. It wasn't. It was perfect. Yang has an outer shell that is hard as steel, there aren't many she lets see the soft side underneath. Remember the important story of searching for her mom, with Ruby in the wagon. It wouldn't surprise me if not even Weiss or the members of Team JNPR know that story, because Yang keeps her secrets VERY close to her chest. But much of Blake's story is learning to let people in, learning that not all burdens need to be carried alone, so when Yang hesitates, she knows and understands why, and is patient "Just say it Yang". But when she finally does, she's right beside her. A perfect scene.

This means the story itself is almost 100yrs old, and since time works different in the EA, best estimate based on CRWBY saying Jaune has been there for 10 to 20yrs the rough estimate is 5 to 1... Meaning, 5yrs in Remnant is roughly 1yr in the Everafter. Which tells us that, in theory, if RWBY spends 1 week in the Everafter is just over/under a whole month in Remnant. So.... Yeah.
Honestly loved this whole reaction and post ep talk. Personally I have also been in this boat since the beginning and also started properly shipping them after Burning the Candle as well. Really they were the first time I had ever 'shipped' any characters and it was at the beginning a purely one dimensional 'those two are cute' kind of reasons. But then they developed, then they went through times and struggles and emotions. I got to read other peoples feelings on the matter and learn a lot about people very different from me and grow myself since my late teens when the Red trailer dropped. Even made a handful of friends through it. A lot of things from this last decade can be traced back to these two and its just so satisfying and gratifying to see them be made official and that moment be handled so beautifully. It means so much.
I see a lot of people hating on the cat, but he doesn't really deserve it. He kept his word, as near as I can tell, never told a single untrue thing, even when a less truthful answer would be simpler. The girls never once asked about how Alyx got home. Which you'd think they would. Or even asked more specific information about Alyx's journey. Despite knowing the cat was present. They didnt ask his help in getting home. Only for guidance to the tree, while knowingly exploiting his curiosity. They never even asked the cat his role, knowing that everyone in the ever after, has one. And the cat still explained he helped Herb return to the ever after when they asked. His answers may have been twisty, but they were also accurate. Team RWBY *was* just using the cat just as the cat was using them as a source of information. The trick with the cat's allegiance, is in its way, a partial parallel for the Cheshire cat. Both seem to be primarily self interested. But both also ultimately work for the world itself as you can tell because the Cheshire cat never betrayed Alice. And worked intentionally to give guidance to those who needed it primarily Alice, and thus by extension helps the health of the world as a whole.

@@ave_r_ie Jaune also wears a white rabbit under the armor showing his duel role in the story and that even Ever After in the plans back at the start. I am now certain Monty was the plan the ending and work back to the start type making a full plot line to the end probably before season one started. People are still free to hate the shift away from collage atmosphere or the dark tone the show has taken it just that they need to blame Monty for plot related stuff they dislike. Poorer fights well Monty was irreplaceable there don't blame follow on staff for not being genus. Poorer dialog and minor things fair to argue those. But voice actors stating two early things that prove bumblebee a thing very early can't be denied. Note make Yang and Illia male and it a fairly normal action story romance plot with the first odd couple pair ending up the true ship. Introduction of alternative ships is so common I assume it the majority in stories like this. So it Yang and illia not being male that makes it seam to people Bumble Bee created later.
I know I'm a bit late in saying this but the confession scene makes Blake's anguish about Yang falling even more heartbreaking as we now know that Blake has clearly been in love with Yang for a while since she didn't even hesitate to say she loved her back so when Yang fell and Blake thought she died, she realized she never got the chance to tell Yang she loved her 😭😭😭😭😭
This was my first ship ever and it turned out to be correct. Before Blake and Yang i thought shipping was silly but could not help myself with these two.

You saying 1 thing made me come up with a theory of thenoverall story of "the girl who fell through the world" and all you said was "...Lewis was an author..." I know you mean the ACTUAL Lewis Carol, yet what if Lewis was the one that got out because he was able to grow from the experience, and Alex ascended, so her character may improve into something else (possibly Little, still leaving that open) maybe Lewis wrote the story of Alex and thats why she was painted as only a little bit of a pain, as apposed to mean and evil like she was, as a tribute to a sister he feels lost. I also believe Lewis may have been another Oz incarnation just from aesthetic (whether that's before or after their story is up in the air) but thats just my theory

Honestly loved this whole reaction and post ep talk. Personally I have also been in this boat since the beginning and also started properly shipping them after Burning the Candle as well. Really they were the first time I had ever 'shipped' any characters and it was at the beginning a purely one dimensional 'those two are cute' kind of reasons. But then they developed, then they went through times and struggles and emotions. I got to read other peoples feelings on the matter and learn a lot about people very different from me and grow myself since my late teens when the Red trailer dropped. Even made a handful of friends through it. A lot of things from this last decade can be traced back to these two and its just so satisfying and gratifying to see them be made official and that moment be handled so beautifully. It means so much.
Someday when I’m ready I’ll make a video on what this relationship has done for me, but it’s changed me as a person for the better

I see a lot of people hating on the cat, but he doesn't really deserve it.
He kept his word, as near as I can tell, never told a single untrue thing, even when a less truthful answer would be simpler.
The girls never once asked about how Alyx got home. Which you'd think they would. Or even asked more specific information about Alyx's journey. Despite knowing the cat was present.
They didnt ask his help in getting home. Only for guidance to the tree, while knowingly exploiting his curiosity.
They never even asked the cat his role, knowing that everyone in the ever after, has one. And the cat still explained he helped Herb return to the ever after when they asked. His answers may have been twisty, but they were also accurate.
Team RWBY *was* just using the cat just as the cat was using them as a source of information.
The trick with the cat's allegiance, is in its way, a partial parallel for the Cheshire cat. Both seem to be primarily self interested. But both also ultimately work for the world itself as you can tell because the Cheshire cat never betrayed Alice. And worked intentionally to give guidance to those who needed it primarily Alice, and thus by extension helps the health of the world as a whole.

@@ave_r_ie Jaune also wears a white rabbit under the armor showing his duel role in the story and that even Ever After in the plans back at the start.
I am now certain Monty was the plan the ending and work back to the start type making a full plot line to the end probably before season one started.
People are still free to hate the shift away from collage atmosphere or the dark tone the show has taken it just that they need to blame Monty for plot related stuff they dislike.
Poorer fights well Monty was irreplaceable there don't blame follow on staff for not being genus. Poorer dialog and minor things fair to argue those.

Note make Yang and Illia male and it a fairly normal action story romance plot with the first odd couple pair ending up the true ship. Introduction of alternative ships is so common I assume it the majority in stories like this. So it Yang and illia not being male that makes it seam to people Bumble Bee created later.
I know I'm a bit late in saying this but the confession scene makes Blake's anguish about Yang falling even more heartbreaking as we now know that Blake has clearly been in love with Yang for a while since she didn't even hesitate to say she loved her back so when Yang fell and Blake thought she died, she realized she never got the chance to tell Yang she loved her 😭😭😭😭😭

I know you mean the ACTUAL Lewis Carol, yet what if Lewis was the one that got out because he was able to grow from the experience, and Alex ascended, so her character may improve into something else (possibly Little, still leaving that open) maybe Lewis wrote the story of Alex and thats why she was painted as only a little bit of a pain, as apposed to mean and evil like she was, as a tribute to a sister he feels lost. I also believe Lewis may have been another Oz incarnation just from aesthetic (whether that's before or after their story is up in the air) but thats just my theory
I do think Lewis is the one who made it back but I think at the end Alex either sacrificed herself for her brother or chose to stay behind because her conscience caught up to her regardless I believe she was reincarnted to Juniper many hints indicating that its possible.
