ACE YOUR COLLEGE ADMISSIONS INTERVIEW - 15 Do's and Don'ts

IT’S COLLEGE ADMISSIONS SEASON YALL!!
Hi, I’m Seo, I graduated earlier this year and I’ve conducted several alumni admissions interviews. I’ve been really frustrated with some of the students I’ve interviewed so far because they are lacking some of the BASICS! I thought I’d quickly whip up a couple tips to ensure that you are confident and ready for your interview, regardless of what school it is!
Just a note: I am not part of any school’s admission staff nor am I an expert of any sort. I am just talk about about my experiences as an interviewer. All the students I’ve talked to are smart and competitive but some of them just lacked that extra step to show their fit for my school.
An interview is not the end game!!! It’s just a small part of the larger picture!

What controversial topics do you recommend not to mention?

Religion, politics, socio-economic status, anything illegal (like underage drinking), etc unless it's a small detail of GOOD story. Like you can say you volunteer at a church group without imposing your religious view on the person. Pretty much anything that could make a stranger uncomfortable should be off the table.
