Volume is the only way to make SP baler worth the $. Almost anyone with a tractor can find and justify a round baler, but to step up to SP Baler, you have to make a LOT of hay! Great video, neat to watch it work.
That baler is really cool. None like that around here that I have ever seen. I have always like d the JD 8X10 series tractors too. I think they were one of JD's best looking machines ever. They look like what I think a tractor should look like.
I love how the front wheels on that thing just swing around. That's got to be so maneuverable in the field. Almost like my zero turn mower, just a lot bigger.
Never got a chance to bale with a Vermeer baler I have a Vermeer tedder and rake but I have a 7070 New Holland baler. Thanks for sharing the video Mike.
Rolla is near the only castle in N.D. I think it is called the Coghlan House. Saw it years ago in a sad state of disrepair but now it is in the National Register.
The ability to "kick" the bale away from the bailer is handy..I've baled in very hilly conditions where it was tough to get the bale to stop rolling into the machine long enough to close the door.
That is one slick machine. That quarter turn probably saves a lot of headache for the possibility of runaway bales. And not having to clutch and be looking behind you saves a lot of operator fatigue?
Great lookin video. My family is originally from Raleigh ND and I currently work for a farmer just to the NorthEast of there in another small town by the name of Flasher.
Mike i love this video i would love to see and ride in one of those self propelled models. Mike will vermeer ever come out with a discbine that have steel conditioning rolls in them again any time soon . I know they still make trailed mower with no conditioning rolls But i was just curious if and when they will ever come back with conditioning rolls in them . Thanks mike i would love to visit the Dakotas some day.
If that Vermeer self driven baler had a wrap behind it,then you be on a winning streak, one machine bale it wrap it,maybe the company will make the machine longer to wrap bale.
The Vemmer ZR5 seems to be ideal, for farmers who make a lot of hay. Does it have to stop every time it rolls out a bale? I must say, you do the best videos on machines. Thanks, & happy new year.
Я из России, сам работаю в сельском хозяйстве и мне интересно, как это происходит у Вас! В принципе почти все так же. У нас в хозяйстве даже есть американская дисковая борона ROME 185 и загрузчик семян Speed King. Удачи Вам!!!
I looked on Tractor House all say call for price. The first one with a listed price was a 2020 for $135,000. I would guess a new one would be double???!! Or more???
Esse corredor de capim eu Guaravita mais a que bonito demais rapaz o povo é aliás e a manutenção do maquinário e ele mesmo colhe o mesmo o mesmo tempo ele mesmo faz serviço e já tem um motorzinho não tem negócio

Remember to tell the story of the farmer and farm along with the machinery. People follow people, characters that relate to themselves. Great channel.

That is a great way to make lots of round bales!!

Yes, that is the time it takes to wrap the bale.

Hey mike , is Vermeer ever bringing their continuous prototype baler to market or did they abandon ship on it?
I really don’t know
Wonder how much one of them self propelled ZTR balers costs - probably not cheap ?

Are they worth it at those type of prices?
