Importance of wetlands as valuable wildlife habitat. This vid a series of trailcam clips showing the variety of Nova Scotia wildlife that frequent wetlands.
♥️EXCELLENT thank you for stressing how important our WETLANDS are ♥️ healthy ecosystems healthy wildlife in their natural habitats-- " SO IMPORTANT TO PRESERVE AND PROTECT ALL OF IT "👍👍
Nicely put together! Informative video and love the personal, up-close intimate look at the local wildlife. Love that! I agree with others here, we need more of this kind of content. Felt like I was walking along the trail and seeing it myself. Good job!
I would like to refer to this video in a scholarly article on the use of down logs as travel corridors by wildlife. Please provide name and date of authorship of this video if such use would be acceptable. Thanks.
SO beautiful & thank you! Those kingfishers amaze me....they look very much like the herons here in Florida....seems they are in Pennsylvania too from another log cam video I watched...surprised their range brings them that far north!
It looks staged...lol, just kidding. I have spent many hours in the woods viewing things like this. Now that I am older, I don't get out as much and don't have the same tolerance to sit quietly enough to have the same experience. Thank you for sharing and editing your videos !!
This reminds me at the series of ponds we had a bit outside of our village. It was like a dense rain forest compared to the surrounding commercial timberland. These ponds were build illegally illegally during first World War and where since completely captured back by nature and wildlife. One sad day I arrived a the ponds to find large excavator tracks in the ground and the dam of the ponds destroyed. After my dad did a series of phone calls to the water authority for our district, they told him these ponds had to be destroyed because the were constructed illegally back around 1915... but they admit that they never came out to the location to assess its current status :(
Love your “The Log” videos. I’ve been looking for them for a while. I seen two last year and couldn’t find any more. Where in the country are you approximately 😉 I love running trailcams all year!! I’ve had my cards stolen and last year for the first time ever had a camera taken. (On private property) Any tips as to not have that happen again? I’ve set up more cameras to at least catch the s.o.b. That’s trust passing 😤
sorry to hear about the thefts. I'm in Nova Scotia - we have 2 legged vermin here too that like to take cams. I try & place them as far off trail/road as I can AND in areas that are not frequented by humans. Its not easy. Best of luck.
Refreshing change. Half of my "recommendations" lately have been guys tearing out dams. I always wonder if they come back the next day and tear it out again when it's been rebuilt twice as strong. And so on.
Had a group of ppl kill all the beavers in a pond dam. Then, the water in pond got so low that they asked fish and game to put back beavers, but f&g said no.
Very cool. Thank you for sharing. I have a few questions: What trail cam did you use? How often did you go to it to change the SD card? How often do you change the batteries? Did you have it in video mode only or did you use hybrid mode?
I use many different brands - this location, I used Stealth G42. swapped out the sd card once. change batteries every 12 - 16 months. I use lithiums. had the cam in video mode only.

again, unfortunately interesting subject matter introduced by almost unintelligible prater. Very few speakers can "wing it" and this one is mind numbingly dull.
The world needs more of this. MUCH more! Thank you for this video.
youre 100% correct.

I love how all the creatures stand in view for a few seconds, almost like they're showing off.
Thanks for a good ten minutes. UA-cam needs more content like this...
Now THIS is entertainment! Thank you for posting this and your 2nd one!
I just love this so much. God's creatures are amazing. Thank you for posting ❤
Great footages! They remind as again that we are not alone on this planet...
So fantastic and wonderful to see these creatures in this fly-on-the-wall manner. Terrific!
Very lovely.
Would you agree it's taken men a long time to value the work of beavers to the land, waterways, and wildlife?
Thanks for sharing ! I'm a UA-camr from Sri Lanka.
Fantastic informative video, enjoyed watching. 👍
So many animals traversing this area. Your camera was well placed!

Beaurocracy🤦♀️
Fantastic! And they say “ drain the swamp” looks like I’m not only species that likes wetlands!
Wonderful.
What is the make and model of your trail cam? Excellent concept ...
Great video and i know im late but maybe a description of what animal is on camera so the less educated of us know what we are looking at
Well done

Wonderful video!! Thanks :) We recently moved and I would love to set up a camera myself. Which one did you use for these clips?? Thanks again!
Stealth G45NG.
This is great stuff. We urban folk never get to see this for real. Those pesky otters were too much.

Bobkittys and otters YAAAAAAA!
@christopher snedeker How so?
Better than the zoo .
Cooper's?
broadwing.
The first creature seen was wearing a red cap.
This is beatiful - God minding his own business. No bipedal devils near sight.
Yay!! Otters!
The Sea Otters will evolve one day, rise, and rule us all. (according to South Park that is)
Then it must be true!
