Hey man. You are a blessing. I love your videos, think I could watch them even without doing maths haha I’ve got a question about 17:25 . By chance I did this question on a past paper once, but couldn’t solve it. I just can’t quite get my head around why 2/sin x = 3/cos x can be written as 2/3 = sin x/cos x. Maybe its simple and I’m missing something?

Hello sir, do you examples whereby we cannot divide both sides of the equaton by sinx since it will reduce the number of solutions, is it only sinx or other trigonometric function?
Confused in no 8 answer can anyone check? I did it through tan and got only 2 values in positive(50.7and 230.7) and no 9 too I got 24.4 using calculator 😭

I just can’t quite get my head around why 2/sin x = 3/cos x can be written as 2/3 = sin x/cos x. Maybe its simple and I’m missing something?
2/sin(x) = 3/cos(x)
2 = sin(x)*(3/cos(x))
2 = 3sin(x)/cos(x)
2 = 3*(sin(x)/cos(x))
2/3 = sin(x)/cos(x)
Use brackets to make things clear for yourself.
Like I be you could re-arrange this:
2/x = 3/y
To get:
2/3 = x/y
@@Intuitive_education thanks a lot! Much clearer now. I wish I saw these things as fast as you do :)
