Thank you for posting. BTW, where is the radiator duct? You might want to upgrade to SAMCO silicone hoses, and replace drain bolt with a petcock. Think about a long term, although pricey fix, upgrade to aluminum radiator and heater matrix?

Radiator duct. The cardboard thing that’s in front? It’s installed on the car and works well. Just had out for a while until I knew I was leak free. The silicon hoses are higher quality but I don’t like the look like the original hoses have. The radiator has a drain cock now but not the block. Not a bad idea but it’s easy to pull out regardless now and not a big deal for something you do every few years.

@@DIYHelp You can get those made out of ABS or even aluminum these days. You must be one of those Concours guys. Not my Forte. If I picked up the TR6 from the factory this morning, it would be 100 percent original, but still have a bunch of issues even with Zero mileage. I want a car that runs consistently, and won't break down somewhere else.

I have a nice stainless one in storage. Just haven’t installed it. The stock one works fine and is easy to get in and out since I’m still sorting out misc issues. Always something.

@@DIYHelp SS is nice, but the ABS and aluminum are easier to install. They give a bit for a better fit. SS is not as flexible.

Those heater valves on tr6 are a weakpoint...ive had my tr6 for 50 years and they fail and can leave you stranded...always carry a spare!..... i was wondering in your flushing system....when all done...did you fill with distilled water then add concentrated preston to achieve 50/50 mix?....did you get all tap water out?...or just added distilled water +preston?....i wanted to do flush with hose and use cleaner then flush with hose...then add distilled water....but lots of videos use distilled water to do everything...seems like i would need 5-6 gallons to do this vs just using the hose?...ive never taken that bolt out of block to flush...looks difficult and afraid i might crack it off since on since 1974!

The bolt will come out easily. Don’t worry. Little hard to get flowing though from all the crud build up. But it’s important to drain the block. Always use distilled water. But I flushed with tap water as I needed the pressure. I’m sure there was a small amount of water inside but couldn’t be much. I purchased the premix 50/50 already in the container so did not make myself.

Where did you buy the hoses?

my green hoses came from The Roadster Factory in PA, USA. "TRF". I bought the complete kit that replaces all hoses and OE style clamps. Everything fit perfect - no problems.

my car original came from PA. Retired guy moved the TR6 to Tampa where I got it. TRF is at 328 Killen Rd, Armagh, PA 15920. If your not too far away I recommend a visit. They typically do a big event every year also at their location. @@lucasbeltran6070
