I will never forget that 2005 Wimbledon final. I was super superstitious and I forced myself to sit with my feet/legs up underneath me thinking it was bad luck to move. Then almost 3 hours later after my legs are numb, I tried to stand up after Venus won and I fell cause my legs were asleep/numb, and it hurrtt 😂. I was fine afterward, but I’m still owed some new legs, Vee! 😂
Tell me about it!!!! Lol. That day I committed to going to a waterpark and although it was fun I knew this match was going on but I had it taping on my VCR. When I finally got back home, I watched all the tense points in slow motion lol! 😂 That match point down rally, I could not breathe until that backhand cleared the net and stayed in the baseline lol longest minute of my life!!! 😓😂

The 2005 match against Lindsay Davenport is one I will never forget. It is probably my favorite Venus Williams match of all time. Both her and Davenport just gave it their all. Lindsay threw everything at Venus but the kitchen sink, but Venus would not go away. Just incredible!
That dress against Jankovic was epic like you say. You looked stunning. The Wimby final win against Lindsay was epic also. I'll never forget your tenacity in that match to keep fighting back to win. You gained many many new fans that day. The British public took you to their hearts that day and it has remained there ever since.
The 2000 USO semifinal against Hingis and 2005 Wimbledon final against Davenport are two of the greatest matches I’ve ever seen. So epic! I miss the late 90s-mid 2000s WTA!

Hey Queen. Each time I’m down in life I love watching 2 matches. Your 2005 Wimbledon Victory over Lindsay Davenport and Serena’s 2005 Australian Open Semi over Maria where both of you came back from match points down and winning the tournament. These were statement wins because in 2004 critics were writing you both off because no slam was won. 2005 definitely shut those critics down!
I remember when no one knew of Serena except as Venus’ sister. How AMAZINGLY, and WONDERFULLY the two of you have changed all of sports and tennis in particular. WE THANK YOU for dazzling us, thrilling us, and inspiring us. I tip my hat😊.

Some Of the best moments in my memory of watching you weren't against No.1s. Like that amazing jump-and-spin backhand against Pavlyuchenkova in the Aus Open (quarters, I think, the last time you and Serena played in the final a few years back). You were way deep in the court and you managed to produce a winning drive deep into her backhand corner from what was by all rights a losing position on the court. You literally did a 270-degree spin in the air and hit the ball dead-centre with your feet both off the ground and your line of sight nowhere near the direction of the shot. It was stunning and so exciting for a live-or-die Venus fan like me. (PS. My backhand is basically identical to yours in the way I produce it - obviously not as good as yours lol, but it was a good shot back in my junior days, which were before you hit the scene, which is so awesome because I didn't copy you but I felt so chuffed knowing that you also chose the same technique as I did. If it's good enough or Venus Williams, it's more than good enough for me!) I was about 15-16 when I watched you in TV for the first time against Aranxta Sanchez-Vicario in your first tour tournament.I even remember where I was - on a school excursion to Sydney and I watched you in my hotel room. Was a die-hard fan from that day on and it's never wavered. Thanks for all the amazing memories. Oh, one more, the match you lost against Monica at the Aus Open in 2002, which is a favourite because it was such a great match and you took over from Monica as my favourite player. You really brought out the best in her that day, in what was probably the last time she played like the transcendent ball-striking machine that she was in her pre-stabbng years. The shot-making from both you of was out of this world and I got to see my two favourite players in a show-stopper. And even though you lost, your best days were ahead and hers were coming to an end so it's up there in the top tennis moments for me as well. Sorry for the long post but I never thought in a million years that I'd have a way to let you know all of these thoughts. And you 'hearted' my last comment, which TBH made my whole year! Another video idea: I suggest you do a video to help young up and coming players with how to survive the grind. Just watching on tv i dont think we realize how tough the tour is. When ur winning it isnt that bad. But lets say u fly to brazil lose first round then fly to the us and lose second round then fly to morocco and fail to pass qualifying. You struggle with jetlag but also struggle with the pressure of sponsors, coaches, and family who are hoping you can start achieving even tho most players dont. Please if u can do a video with how struggling young players can navigate these difficulties with the grind of the tour especially when success isnt coming as easy. Talk abt what it was like when u were finally able to press through and start beating the davenports and hingises consistently. What strategies did u employ to keep believing. Venus I love you and im so proud of your humility. Please hit the practice courts because I truly believe you have one more Wimbledon in you. Stay humble. You are an amazing ambassador, an amazing woman, and a simply downright beautiful soul. Nuff luv from ur biggest Jamaican fan 🐶
