- This is the Hobby Boss esay assembly MiG-15Bis.
Not a great looking model as I rushed it. But tat was don on purpose to just get something finished and restore my Mojo that has taken a battering on the Tu-4

The Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-15 (Russian: Микоян и Гуревич МиГ-15; USAF/DoD designation: Type 14; NATO reporting name: Fagot) is a jet fighter aircraft developed by Mikoyan-Gurevich for the Soviet Union. The MiG-15 was one of the first successful jet fighters to incorporate swept wings to achieve high transonic speeds. In combat over Korea, it outclassed straight-winged jet day fighters, which were largely relegated to ground-attack roles, and was quickly countered by the similar American swept-wing North American F-86 Sabre. - Навчання та стиль
Hats down for completing it in 3 hours and 40 minutes. Still looks quite good.
Close up it's not very good at all and certainly won't be on a table at a show
Awesome build. Came out pretty nice. Really liked the voice quality. How did you record the voiceover?
I do that on my phone.
Even if you are not entirely satisfied with this work, it has become a fairly decent model.
Since it was good for your "Mojo", it definitely served its purpose.
Best wishes, Ian. Greetings, Joachim
Cheers. And thanks for taking the time to watch and comment
Not bad for a rushed job.. :) Now I want to build another kit, but IF I build a MiG-15 for the NATO vs. WP GBG GB, then it will be the much slated Airfix kit, mainly because it is a kit I haven't built before and becaue I like the Bulgarian option that comes with that kit.. It will be interesting to compare it, when built, with the more accurate HobbyBoss kit, just to see if the Airfix kit is as grossly oversized, as some people claim.. :) We'll see.. but yes, not bad.. not bad at all! And if it restored your mojo, then it was money and time well spent... and show me a little girl who doesn't want a MiG=-15 dangling from their ceiling! It's surely every little girls dream.. .. :)
She already has a MiG-15UTI!
Great work Ian! Very nice Mig 15!
Thank you Marian
It may not be the best build but was it a fun build? If yes then it is a good build!
Also how long do you let the Vallejo putty dry before using the clay sculpture to remove it? Thanks.
It was pretty warm that evening, needed to relive it almost as soon as it was on as it was starting to crumb quickly.
It can be smoothed almost immediately, I use a damp finger. Non-toxic (relatively) too so useful if doing a build with children around.
Edit to add: It's good for small gaps, like seam lines, but not great on larger holes or sink marks.
Every "fast" kit which i grab to build, turn into a difficult kit in my hands. I'm envious. Nice job!
I have a tendency to do that too. I resisted on this one. Thanks for watching
Very nice Ian. yours Steve....
Cheers Steve.
Turned out pretty nice!
Cheers and thanks for taking the time to watch
Look great
Cheers Charlie
A quick, fun build that rekindled your Mojo. Well worth it, Ian. The Mig turned out great.
Bill
Cheers Bill
well done
Cheers
Hi Ian, still a great build with in that short time scale, liking those harnesses were they made by you.
Yea from masking tape. Thanks for watching James.
A good way to spend three and a half hours! And a nice accompaniment to my tea break. I'd like to see the look on the pilot's face when he looks down at the Bolton- Paul instrument panel! 😁
He might be more than a little confused. Thanks for watching
I always enjoy watching your build videos!! Cheers Matey!
And I yours, hope you are well Alex
Nice build !
That looks good Ian, well done. Thanks for sharing this my friend, from Josh
Thanks Josh
3:36 how did you manage to put the top upper fuelsalage on? I am trying to put it on but it still won't fit in. Did you like force it or something?
I don't remember having to force it in any way but it was 2yra ago now.
Which specific part is catching?
@@UKscalemodeller the upper fuelsalage. I am trying to put it on with the lower fuelsalage, but it won't fit. It's not even the glue. Even with the glue, it still won't work.
