Wow in the end in 5min we have the next Ost of interstellar 2 ! Great generator chords and melody it's like scaler 2 or ez keys 2 but with more option excellent!
i wish this existed when i started getting into this stuff. I feel like this should be the highest recommended library now for anyone starting out.. i'd love to try it some day.
It's a pitty that the melody designer do not have a piano roll visualised as it is in all DAW's. Can this be done for you upgraded version? Thanks in advance.
Impressive. But one has to wonder how much better it could be unconstrained by Kontakt, in a full screen GUI of your own, developed on top of modern platforms such as JUCE.
Agreed. The second I saw Kontakt, I knew it meant I would be getting a blurry mess on my 4k monitor. It also really could benefit from a demo version before we spend this amount of money, which isn't going to happen with Kontakt.
kontakt is not the problem .... its up to developer if the choose to scale using the new features in Kontakt 6,7. some don't I have orchestra 3 and hate the fact it doesn't scale.
Regarding 08:45 - I figured out how to zoom using the "range setting" by switching off "Auto" and it looks like the generate and the zoom in/out functions are tied at the hip, right? It would be handy to zoom independently within the editor, but no biggie. In FL Studio, when I export the melody, instead of dynamics, (CC1) I get unsupported parameter #2 - I guess I have to go select "edit events" in the FL Studio interface, and create the CC first - maybe that will remedy it. Haven't tried yet.
Too good for newbies like me... 😅, Who don't know to where to start, but better don't just depend on a sequencer it will not help you for long run, but this library will surely give you an idea and inspiration for your required music , even nexus 4 Sequencer helps me alot to make my own tracks , because sometimes it's too difficult for newbies to start a track... This is Kinda a cheat code but it will surely saves time and gives you instant idea.. but you can't fully rely on this to make your music , better take idea and make new one... 😅.
This is a tool that can be integrated into the composition process. It's not at all some kind of replacement tool for composition or orchestration. You need to make your own "(musical)period or sentences stories" and creating your own stories. And for this purpose the skills of orchestration are the same and you need to inform you about all kinds of good sounding (proofed by centuries) orchestral blendings/doublings and so on. So go further than this preset stories and express really yourself musically and orchestrally. Try to make chamber music : quartet and quintet music... That's the real challenge. And yes : this can also be be done with The Orchestra (Complete) and The Score if used in a full matured way. It goes much further than playing... bombastic epic scores with just one finger. But yes, this is also true : you can stop there. But when only playing and enterily with only The Score preset stories you fool yourself and others at the very end. It's also a great tool for ear training : for chords recognition, all kinds of orchestral instrument blendings and doublings... for creating climaxes in a graduel way in the philosophy "what you touch is what you get" and instanly learning so much with exercises you gives to yourself on any time and mood. By try and error and constantly learning. For a self taught music composition/orchestration student like me this is a top tool without loosing tons on al kinds of sample libraries. The Score and The Orchestra can be played within a Kontakt Player all for free. And for making mockups it's a perfect tool.
Hi. I notice that you have a crossgrade offer for owners of The Orchestra. Is the Score an upgrade to The Orchestra? Will the replace The Orchestra or are the two separate instruments in Kontakt after the crossgrade?
You can play the instrument with any chords you like, there are no restrictions. The Chord Studio has options for many common chord types like sus4, sus2, maj/minor7/9, diminished, augmented or add9.
sounds great but its not the composer actually making music, needs more control for non-appregriated loops, otherwise, everyones music will sound like these loops
Pay $399 dollars for a software that will create a song for me! Even if you offer this software free to me I don`t install it in my Macbook. Because I am who have to became a compouser study hard and be proud of my production even if only two chords with a melody.
$400 to sound like everybody else who owns this same VST. While I do appreciate the effort that went into it, I don't think tools like this help you in the long run. Maybe used sparingly, but then it becomes a quite expensive tool if used like that.
@@DaveWalker-j3u I meant beyond the sounds. If everything is articulated similarly, it all starts to sound the same. I got the same vibe off watching a video for the Hollywood Orchestra Opus Edition.
Well, whether you sound like everyone else or not totally depends on what you do with it. As far as I understand, this is a full orchestral library, with 160 instrument articulations that you can freely play, so you can play whatever comes to your mind - so far, more or less, the same functionality as all the other orchestral libraries out there. The part with the arranged ensembles comes on top. So you can choose to compose freely or with arranged ensembles. Like you said, If you just use the arrangements out of the box, you might sound like others but it seems that you can customize even those very much to your specific requirements.
@@bravostylezz I agree with what you said. Still, a lot of people seem to have a hard time rewording a paragraph so as not to plagiarize. Will the same be true with products like this? Only time will tell.
Can you create the structure with this library and then let's say add different sounds in logic? Make changes there? I totally agree this is very expensive. The Orchestrator + Scaler 2 suddendly seem such a better option.. @@Ultimate_Wasabi

I'm somewhat afraid that this kind of software might eventually penalize really talented people, who take their time to write every single line with care and love, just to advantage cheaters who quickly load up some random preset and call it a day. It won't happen soon, but if we keep pushing in this direction it might happen eventually. And that will really be the end of music as an art form. Music is expression. This is not expression.
It was the same with synth.. but I agree, everything is taking a faster pace and less appreciation for less (I heard it somewhere else too) original songs.. however.. there is still more to automate..
Frankly, this is a matter of who the listeners are and what an average listener understands from musicality. A real composer or someone with musical education can recognize and appreciate real talented people but in an age where quantity is more important than quality, I agree that masses may not even recognize what is actuality played and how something is created.
@@evrenhalavut9207 I see your point, but let's imagine that you bought a new car (metaphore for a movie) and later you find out that the engine (metaphore for the score) was made out of cheap tin just to save time and money. You know nothing about engines, but would you still be happy with your purchase? To me it's the same with a score or any part of an art form. You have no excuses for doing that to a consumer because it's just ethically wrong.
@@couldnt_find_good_name2546 I think both composers and non composers can find some advantages in using this, because it's all about saving time and effort using pre made stuff. The real problem is that it pushes you away from being original, which is what music is fondamentally about, just to save time in either composing every line or learning to compose.
This is the most impressive sequencer I've ever seen in a KONTAKT library. WOW!!
Just when you think you've seen it all in “The Orchestra”😮 Absolute gobsmack!!!
😍😍😍 I love that you can use both the presets or if you like just play the single instruments!

Now have 1.1. Bugs still there. It’s not possible to play live legato patches. Plus randomized crashes. Will wait until 1.2 …
