If there is one thing I have learned from this, it is that Yun is extremely good at getting an opponent into the corner. Nearly all of his moves have lots of knockback and/or move him forward a very great amount.
does anyone know if makoto's ex hayate to l. fukiage to ex axe kick only connects in AE edition on small characters? Cuz i've tried it hundreds of times on Super SF4 and I can't get it to connect on small characters. i've only managed to land it on zangief, t.hawk ect.
This may sound like a dumb question to those that know, but how do players use their online username on the arcade cabs and have their player points on display? I've never seen video footage of this being done (live in UK and Arcades are pretty much non existent here). ???
I freaking love the commentators they hype the match up so well Evo commentators need to take note and that was a badass makoto if I ever saw one nice matches
@Yaofan15: He does more damage overall, has longer combos, better normals, more moves that are safe on block, a better Super, better Ultras... His only below-average spots are his wakeup options, and his -100 stamina when compared to Cody et al.
I wonder if he would have played had it not been a charity tournament for Japan...i think that that is really what brought him out of "hiding"...a worthy cause..
@andreicmello well i have to agree it does seem an extremely useful tool,if you spam fireballs recklessly you can be easily punished, this move however, seem's extremely quick and can actually counterhit attacking opponents and it appears to fill meter at an a rapid rate?,basically if you don't rush down yun you are granting him free super,i think it's part of capcoms strategy to reduce turtling, looking forward to trying him myself though.
@iAmDmagic Agreed. This isn't 3rd strike, and yun is perfectly fine. Anyone with a projectile + proper control(obv) has a fairly good matchup against him.
@YarYar01 yeah with his low health and being new its kinda hard to learn anything with people using thier mains of two years shit sucks but the genjin is easy pop them up you can do pretty much anything at that point
@kaniverjayz What are you talking about? Jumps are still unsafe, it's just that divekicks are as hard to punish as they've been in every fighting game ever.
@mikolyyyy Sniper+ yoga fire, or crossups if he gets in your face usually do the trick for me. Usually i'm not playing japanese titans though, so my matchup analysis could be fucked. Just my thoughts.
in the match with the makoto player, daigo built his ex bar by spamming palmthrust across the screen to make it look like he was going for a super combo. then ended up using the ex to do the command grab into another combo cuz the guy was blocking to not get caught by super combos. then he recreated a similar situation as the 1st round and baited the ultra and punished him for it. next level stuff
@clerk123 It actually only works on certain characters in SSF4, but in AE they made her fukiage faster so the you can land this combo on everybody in the AE game. In Super it only works on, FEI LONG SAKURA MAKOTO T HAWK C VIPER i think Hakan, DEE JAY BALROG CAMMY JURI and that's it.
@PhilomathBret In a real fight I don't see people spamming punches to charge a "meter" sure ex-moves create a fun element in the game, but I never said "remove ex-moves" What should be removed is spamming punches that don't even connect just to get meter
@yaktr12 Umeshoryu is just a godlike DP that Daigo always seems to pull out of his ass at the right moment, 4:17 is Yun's DP. Hence he still has a ume-shoryu. It's just a Ume-kickurfacetwice4feetintotheair
@jjilatt123 actually alot of the pros have their gripes with the twins. On crosscountertv, gamerbee admits they are tired of them. They have too many safe options which are not punishable enough, they can also build meter far faster than any other character by whiffing palms continiousally. Balanced they are not. Though you are right about Yun being harder to master and overpower than daigo and other pros make it seem.
Everyone's talking about how Yun's so overpowered, it's not like Daigo walked through there team, he had a challenge especially against Shiroitachi's Makoto.
Always with the new and good vids, thanks for the uploads.
that was a fast upload! thanks!
great tournament and matches..
the streams was top, even on my iphone i had crazy quality..
thanks Greg, my ustream was lagging like hell. hope to see more topanga footages from you.
Thanks for the videos Greg, I fell asleep half way through lol
@aduj I used Camtasia and lossless codec. :)
thx uploader u seem to get the best AE vids
Shiro was amazing in the final games. I didn't know who to root for. It's good to finally see Daigo play.

thanks for the upload man

@FinestFighters I think the "5th" is referring to the player's number in the team... it's 5on5.
I love the excitement this announcer had at this tournament.
Does anyone know the name to there Ustream channel ? Many thanks
I freaking love the commentators they hype the match up so well Evo commentators need to take note and that was a badass makoto if I ever saw one nice matches
@sniperclown Nope, it's Shiro the former Abel player. I also thought it was Shiro Itachi at first.
I think Daigo has the greatest composure I have ever seen
@Yaofan15: He does more damage overall, has longer combos, better normals, more moves that are safe on block, a better Super, better Ultras...

Anyone else notice it says M.Bidon instead of Bison? o.o just caught my eye ._. at 6.03
I wonder if he would have played had it not been a charity tournament for Japan...i think that that is really what brought him out of "hiding"...a worthy cause..
@NejiHyugaReturns Nuki commentating 3rd Strike matches from Game Spot Versus arcade...
Soooo... does this look like a rather effortless Evo win for Daigo?
Anyone else notice it says M.Bidon instead of Bison? o.o just caught my eye ._.
@TruthRevolutions They're cards, and they're a completely seperate system. Not connected to your console's BP at all.
If you dont mind me asking how were you able to record the stream without lose of picture quality
@mikolyyyy Oh snap I thought it was ShiroItachi this whole time, thanks for the correction. I remember Shiro he mained Able in SF4. Thanks.

Dammmmn@ Makoto's Ultra on Round 2, Look at that DAMAGE!!!
Clutch Combo @ 2:06, What a Beast.
Jeez.... the match is hyped up even before Yun throws his first punch.
@Ov3rheadGreg Dude , please upload Mago(fei long) vs Shiro (Makoto) it has some beastly moments and intense footsies !
thx for doing this
Can anyone tell me a player thats good with Hakan? I must see one.
@ShadenxInfinity It's the player not the character.
@YarYar01 yeah with his low health and being new its kinda hard to learn anything with people using thier mains of two years shit sucks but the genjin is easy pop them up you can do pretty much anything at that point
@Mearonm shiro itachi and shiro are 2 different people. This is shiro the 1 who use to be abel
Wait is this the Shiro that used to main Abel in Vanilla? If so it saddens me to see him drop Abel.
@Otahell999 It helps that in SSF4:AE , you get loads more points than you do in SSF4. Plus they're ridiculously good, which helps.
Daigo.. got damn.
Respect the man's Yun. That's all I gotta say..
More shiro vids please :)
Shiro, my favorite Abel player is now playing my favorite character Makoto, I think I'm in love
Who were Daigo's partners?
@sparty007 It's not even M.Bison. It's actually Vega.
完全に惚れた
@minjod
actually, its 'M.Bidon'
@mikolyyyy Vipers easy to use? Im guessing you main blanka
Is that the same Shiro that use to play Abel?
Thank you, I am going to watch wildcat matches right now, I gotta see this . . lol
NEEDS MORE DAIGO PLS!!!
@TruthRevolutions The game machine uses cards that that will store the info. Something like that.
in the match with the makoto player, daigo built his ex bar by spamming palmthrust across the screen to make it look like he was going for a super combo. then ended up using the ex to do the command grab into another combo cuz the guy was blocking to not get caught by super combos. then he recreated a similar situation as the 1st round and baited the ultra and punished him for it. next level stuff
where's yun's hat?
Which is more than you'll ever have.
@clerk123 It actually only works on certain characters in SSF4, but in AE they made her fukiage faster so the you can land this combo on everybody in the AE game. In Super it only works on, FEI LONG SAKURA MAKOTO T HAWK C VIPER i think Hakan, DEE JAY BALROG CAMMY JURI and that's it.
i missed seeing FADC to Ultra in tournament matches. T_T
@Kuya1991 Yeah, it's the same Shiro.
@PhilomathBret In a real fight I don't see people spamming punches to charge a "meter"
sure ex-moves create a fun element in the game, but I never said "remove ex-moves"
What should be removed is spamming punches that don't even connect just to get meter
@LaSwagga yep lol people love continuously smashing on buttons especially if there fei, chun, and guile for me.
I can't hardly understand anything this guy's saying, but I think I like this commentator.
@Dan1104xv Ithink they have 50 more than akuma
What's a M. Bidon?
daigo never use his ultra ?
is the commentator japanese? he sounds badass
m.bidon?
@OracleOrthros Yeah I already knew all of that but they are playing in japan and bison's name should say vega that's all im saying
@yaktr12 Umeshoryu is just a godlike DP that Daigo always seems to pull out of his ass at the right moment, 4:17 is Yun's DP. Hence he still has a ume-shoryu. It's just a Ume-kickurfacetwice4feetintotheair
is it even possible to have so many player points and battle points??
@OracleOrthros yeah it says it but the host's or w/e put m.bison (with a d -_-)
This man is a genius!
Cet homme est un génie!
@TaeJinXIII nah vipers easy to use but then again shes been around for a long time so most ppl know how to use her
EVO is gonna be amazing!
is this shiro itachi ?
@jjilatt123 actually alot of the pros have their gripes with the twins. On crosscountertv, gamerbee admits they are tired of them. They have too many safe options which are not punishable enough, they can also build meter far faster than any other character by whiffing palms continiousally. Balanced they are not.
Though you are right about Yun being harder to master and overpower than daigo and other pros make it seem.
The BEAST was UNLEASHED that day.
Awwww. The guy with Bison came very close to winning
5:55, is M.Bidon a new 'character'? Puntastic.
Shiro's playing makoto now?! What happened to abel?!
@OracleOrthros that's one way to look at it or the guy who knows about cpu's is an american working in japan :o
love the commentaryAHHHHHHHHH
@Shintroy I wont but you can.
@sparty007
hahaha even if they did spell "Bison" it would still be wrong. Bison is Vega in Japan
@deicide666slayer it is
@ThePhantomnaut yes sir
all non-american announcers, SO HYPE!
i take it this is the same Shiro who has the best Abel right?
@Megadat Watch the first round against the Dictator.
now m bison has change name to m. bidon? O.O
Dont hate the game hate the mindframe, pimpin
Everyone's talking about how Yun's so overpowered, it's not like Daigo walked through there team, he had a challenge especially against Shiroitachi's Makoto.
out of hiding? this guy is ultimate MASTER!
I love how the commentator freaks out over Makoto's ultra, but both players are just like -_-
I actually feel that bison has an advantage in the yun matchup, or is at least on par. Anyone else agree?
I thought bison's name was vega in japan o.O
I was really hoping that M.Bidon would neutral jump over the rush punch at 8:43 . It seemed like the obvious thing to do. Still, good stuff.
Who thinks Meter charging should be removed?
😎👍🏻
Damn that EX Lunge Punch is herp a derp for Yun.
