Trouble Shooting -> It didn't work? 1) Make Nightbot a moderator in your Twitch chat. 2) Make sure Nightbot is in your Twitch chat, if not add them via the Nightbot dashboard 3) Emotes don't show up? Use proper capitalization. If you use your own emotes Nightbot does need to get a sub gifted.

Can you put a command ex. !compliment, then have Nightbot can rotate between different compliments? Example: User: !compliment Nightbot: You look nice today!❤️ User: !compliment Nightbot: Have a lovely day!❤️ Is this a thing?
@@trui yea I ve like started streaming in February and it's been going great, I'm growing which is such a blessing. These little commands like !Lurk or like other simple commands makes it more interactive for the audience. Love what you doing keep it up. From a fellow Dutch speaking person!

Edit: Never mind I got it working, you have to type the emote name just how it appears on the emote pannel on twitch...caps and all hehe 😅
can someon actually explain the point of lurking to me tho? i dont get its use. does it have a benefit for the viewer or the streamer? some people also do !unlurk but does that even matter?
So lurking means that this person has your stream on but is currently not going to type. This can have multiple reasons: 1) they do not feel like typing only watching 2) they are doing something else in the meanwhile like working or doing chores 3) they are not behind their pc for a bit but they are leaving your stream open. So they tell you: I am not going to answer any questions for the next period. If they say unlurk they are saying that they are open for talking again.
For your stats Twitch lurkers count for your average views. So when they leave your stream open they can help you with reaching Twitch Affiliate (or partner)
Hello I'm trying to use the MorphinTime global emote in my lurk message, but I don't think the coding is right. What's the coding to use a twitch emote?
If you want to use a Twitch emote you need to make sure you use the exact capitalization as the emote on Twitch. If it's a emote locked behind a subscription, the bot needs to be subscribed (Gift sub).
You can use emotes if you use the proper capitalization. For using your own emotes you need to pay for a subscription for your bot to your own channel sadly
Some people like to announce that they are stepping away from they keyboard for a bit. Maybe they start a comp match themselves and can't type while playing, they are cooking and focusing on that while listening or something else.
In case you might run into not having done the !mod command for Nightbot it won't work. When you set up Nightbot in your channel, making Nightbot mod is one of the steps
also, if you out $(user) at the end of your command, it will display the name of the user that typed the command!
Yeah that is a great idea!
So !lurk$(user)
?
MoistSpahget No. !Lurk is the command, and the command text must be: Have a nice lurk, $(user) !
@@LucDeLaat thank you for this!!

Thanks for the suggestion. I have already stopped using them after feedback from others. So the newest videos don't have it anymore.
You deserve a sub
Thanks!

How do you do it so it says their name as well?
$(user) is the code that gets replaced with the person who uses the command. So just put that somewhere in the sentence ☺
Thaaaaaaanks

You don't have to put "code" in. It should work if you go to Twitch click on an emote and just copy the text that you see as emote.
Can you add custom emotes to commands? Haven't figured it out
You can use emotes if you use the proper capitalization. For using your own emotes you need to pay for a subscription for your bot to your own channel sadly

Yes
