Ibn Qudama’s Debate With The Asharis - Shaykh Uthman Ibn Farooq

May Allah have mercy on Shaykh Al Islam Ibn Qudama Al Maqdisi, it’s a shame that I haven’t seen a detailed biography of him in the English language. Here are some of the works that he authored:

They never refer their aqeedah to the books that collected the ahadith and sayings of the salaf about the matter, like the books of Imam Ahmad, Al-Bukhari, Al-Lalika'i, Al-Ajurri, etc that collected these evidences about aqeedah. Even Al-Bayhaqi who was an Ashari had a book where he collected narrations about the attributes of Allah, yet I see them refer more to the later Ashariah who just went full on philosophy.
