I’m a guitar player of 30 plus years and had to watch this because of the hype. She definitely isn’t playing but if it inspires young people to pick up an instrument I’m all for it. Also just because she didn’t play that solo live doesn’t mean she doesn’t play guitar. Maybe she does?

I asked my brother who has also played for over 25 years and he said she’s not playing there but he’s sure she can play it and prerecorded it. He said there are way too many variables in a live setting like that. And of course they don’t want some

It is obvious between 00:06 and 00:09 that she is miming it. Don't need to watch any further. But to be fair. The majority of half time shows from the pop/hip hop "artists" are mimed or played/sung over another track, so she is not alone.

Why would I be jealous. I have been playing three times as long as she has been breathing. She is a talented young lady and will develop into a more advanced player with experience.
If it is her playing on the pre-recorded stem then her time-feel is too poor to be classed as intermediate. Groove comes first. She has none.

It being way too clean was the red flag any guitarist could spot. Even the best wouldn’t play it 100% clean at such an event while strutting around, flaws would be heard.
