- If you're having trouble replacing the water filter on your fridge, here are some tips I've discovered to be really helpful.

Really dumb sounding advice that absolutely did the trick. I thought I had to send my filters back, but with 2 hands and the idea I was deforming the plastic a bit and it went right in. Well done.
Thanks so much. My first replacement went in easy. The second seemed like it was just messed up somehow. But you are so right. Two hands and it started to move. Knowing it had the fridge side was gonna grind away some of the filter plastic gave me confidence. You rock. Saved me an embarrassing service call!!

Where do I dispose of the old cartridge?? Just in my regular garbage??
Yup, regular garbage because inside it's just a filter. However, there are people out there who run programs and collect your filter if you want to give it to them.
I didn’t like the idea of using pliers on a small plastic part so I cut away the part with the 2 o-rings to expose the inner section on my old filter. I then used the center section to turn the pins counter clockwise.
Not sure if you can help. The light came on so I started searching how to change it and came across your video. I opened the compartment and there's no filter.. should there have been one already in there when we got it? And there's no connector bits to attach to a filter haha did we get a dud? Lol
Hi! No, it doesn't come pre-installed. It should have one and when I got it, it came with it in the fridge. It was in a box. If you don't have one, you will need one if you want to use the filter. I hope that helps!
