There's way too much "I know it got me killed the last 4 times in a row... but it might go better this time" thinking in Smite. There comes a time when trying a strategy that's repeatedly failed is no longer optimism. In all fairness, if someone just finished a key item or their beads were on cooldown last time, it might actually go better this time. However, there needs to be a clear reason why someone thinks it will be different since the previous attempt. The enemy who got the kill will have gotten a nice amount of gold and xp from the kill, so it won't even be the same difficulty as the last fight, it will be harder (although, if the enemy hasn't backed since the last fight, the gold from the kill won't be relevant aside from Chang'e or Rataskor buying from lane).
Jotunns or trans to start would have helped his damage a lot. Dawnbringer, stone of binding, archdruids all would have helped his damage immensely while still making him pretty tanky.
Honestly, Idk if you could've replaced anything in your build Trelli lol. Maybe your last 2 items into Rod/Obby Shard. Probably could've killed with Obby passive a couple times when they were low. Otherwise Charon's for the move speed. But how long you would've lived? Idk lol, that healing was doing good I'm a little blown Cu Chulainn didn't get damage Pridwen. If he had that, and Archdruids instead of Heartseeker, I think he could've just bullied Thoth more and still do tons of Yellow number damage. Fen would've had to help Thoth, and they probably couldn't kill Cu still cause he'd be pretty much full tank Then this might be a hot take but Horus gets Abyssal Stone instead of Heartseeker. He's already full tank and engaging was clearly not his thing. TLDR; You: Rod/Charon's or Obby > Magus/Typhon Cu Chulainn: Damage Prid/Archdruids > Heartseeker Stick on Thoth, Fen has to help Horus: Abyssal Stone > Heartseeker Stick on you + lower Bo CDR = you requiring less healing (Maybe Defense Prid for more CDR = more peel for you)
Hmm... Games with players like that Horus do actually make me suspect that matchmaking isn't as bad as I generally think. It might be an issue of too much of the playerbase is like Horus.
I feel like in this match-up it would be better to have hours peel kuzenbo and fenrir because they will still go on you allowing cuculin to dive thoth in the back. And when fen and or kuzenbo dive you horus can just ult you both to thoth and you guys triple him
i fought the same team comp but instead of thoth it was a hera building physical def and cooldown. team not even present until argus is up every 30 seconds. hands down the biggest of cringe galore
smite is at its absolute worst its ever been. i honestly believe every single last dev who promoted and approved this patch needs to reconsider their position at hirez because this patch is unacceptably awful. i don’t know how they thought this was okay?
I dont know seems like there was a lack of communication, just alot of separate fights. Bad earlygame, feeding horus had bad tageting didnt make any inpactfull combos. Cucul did decent damage but again no inpactful targeting. Just 3v1v1v1
def tell sam to add that little bit about the consoles not being able to do without linking to steam or really every other smite tuber haven't heard a single one say that. doesnt even effect me
yeah joust at high mmr is just more cringe than before with this patch, might as well go triple tank lmao since going adc or mage almost guarantees death if the teammates are not some op joust picks
Also you wasted a slot going magi and staff tahuti/shard even coin would’ve been a better pick up just full pen them out and a soul reaver still melts tanks personally I think a mage a tank and Adc do amazing or two tanks and a Adc quins exe dom just shreds like butter

You were percent pen capped and had both health shred items plus spear of the magus passive and your bomb backfire combo was barely scratching the turtle’s health bar. I assume some adjustments are coming because mages are just completely incapable of dealing with tanks right now (and I’m a 10.6 supporter).
What I like most in those annoying matchups is that it makes everything relatable. That's the Smite most of us play and can't get win in Joust.

Honestly nothing special with long games. I always do that with Kuzenbo. And if I’m feeling spicy I add a charons coin in my build.
