    Just bought this amp!!!!! Except…. Mine got an upgrade to the new improved G4!!! Bill called me and said he was excited beyond words to this new circuit change and minor layout change and said he got so excited about it he felt like it made him play more than he has in a while….. I think this is an amp of a lifetime….

    I love this amp. What a wealth of tones that can come out of it shown in videos by Bill Landry. Doug’s on another plane of existence playing though. The lost art of the guitar and how to make it cry or sing. Doug is one of my favorite players today.

    The only amp I don't NEED to hear Doug play...as I've heard Bill play them (not that this was not worth every note!). One of the most awesome amps around...built by hand by the guy that designed them...and boy, can he play them too! And guess what folks...there is a brand new 30 watter now too! All this video makes me do is seriously jones for an amp I've been drooling over for some time. Oh, and it makes me realize there are not enough years left for me to get this good...unless I live to 100...and the arthritis goes away!

    Probably the best rock guitarist in the world today. Have noticed one thing of particular interest , something I have also found watching Bonamassa. How come the nails on the left hand are as long as they are? I find it impossible to play with even a tiny bit too long. Is there a method and or reason behind this or is it just coincidence?

    Doug- Great Demo as always. How would you compare your experience between the Landry designs and the Bogner XTC voicings? Both are excellent choices. The Landry stays fat higher up the neck, and has killer crunch sounds. In my opinion For 1200 less (as of April 2019) , the Landry is on par. I like that you can buy direct from him. Landry could easily charge more for this design, but asks a fair price.

    Maybe you can answer this.....Can the BE100 Deluxe cop the SS100 or JJ tones? How would you compare the 100 Deluxe to the new SS100 V2 or The Jake E Lee? I'm only gonna buy one amp but overall I have been attracted to the thick SS100 original and the punchy Jake E Lee the most in the vids....If the BE Deluxe can get me there....life would be easy lol.

    Hej Doug, massive fan of your playing. I have been playing for few years. But your style is tasty but confusing to understand how you are doing what you are doing. Just looking at your left hand I only see pentatonic shapes. But you are doing more than just pentatonic stuff and huge bends. I know most of it is in your fingers and what music means to you. If ever have the chance can you explain what intervals are you bending and what notes you choose when the backing is a thick open riff. Cheers from a Sweden - Hello from Bangladesh :)

    • @DougErapps
      @DougErapps  4 роки тому +1

      Captain Crunch I don’t do anything in post except add delay on the leads. No eqs no compression, etc. No “production”. You’re getting as true a representation of the sounds, in a recorded-musical context, as you can get. The delays I add create space and ambience and don’t really color the tones. Love your Berry cereal btw. Any possibility of a collab with Count Chocula?🤘🏻🤘🏻
