Brit here from America, well said Aussie! I played club cricket to a good standard in England, good enough that our league would host young tourist players. You knew you had a tough game ahead when there was an Aussie in the team, hard working, competitive, aggressive, skillful, but played in the spirit of the great game of cricket. LEAVING LIKE A LION. Stuart Broad was a great bowler indeed. He will be remembered for serving his nation. Moreover, he is a kind-hearted person and a smart guy. Tribute from Pakistan 🇵🇰 God bless you, Broady.
From getting from 6 sixes in an over to getting 600+ test wickets what an amazing career he has had. An absolute legend of the game 🐐happy retirement broady❤️
As a Pakistani, I too get the Goosebumps everytime I watch this. Broad's family jumping with happiness. Whole Oval on their feet. Too Good. That is why we love this game so much. 🥺
Goosebumps is what i get whenever i see English team. What an effort n spirit. Moin spell was amazing' woakes was wonderful. Broad had an great farewell. Always treat to watch him bowling, legend !
Broads' career ended in a truly magical way. He hit a six in his final delivery as a batsman and picked up the last wicket on his last ball as a bowler. Such a surreal moment is truly enchanting and seems to be a fitting finale to a remarkable career ♥️🔥👏
He also did the bails trick twice and with perfect results both times lol. Such a great character. I'll truly miss broad. Always made me smile and that's surely what it's all about. Certainly beats watching 9 from 82 balls.
Quite right, he finished with the asterisk he deserved, a callow act of desperation by England, outperformed, to get a new ball and have it do the work for them. After all that blathering bullshit about the spirit of cricket, you got a ball that would swing. You can't put the ball where you need it, you can't bowl a consistent, disciplined line and length, you just get a magic Duke that will swing late and unpredictably and the batsman gets out. Australians all deplored the sandpaper incident, which was 100% about getting access to the replacement balls. England, the first home of cricket cowardice under Jardine, has luxuriated in condescending to Australia since that time. Well, bitching about a ball which clearly had nothing wrong with it until the 11th time was a charm is nothing different. You were like the spoilt brats of the subcontinent demanding a wicket. It would have been infinitely preferable as a gentleman to have sustained a fighting loss against an opponent who turned up and outperformed you. Instead, you have a draw on the scoreboard and no guts, balls or spines to speak of. You've utterly forgotten what cricket is meant to be about, 5 minutes after lecturing everyone else. As an Australian I cannot stand the woke asylum the place has become and as far as I was concerned, Smith and Warner should have been banned for life. I had them pegged as morally equal to Hansie Cronje. But then came the revelations of England's two-year campaign to find the best lollies to apply to Kookaburras and Dukes. England is the reason food is banned on the field. Literally every other team cheats and tries to damage balls, they throw into the ground on purpose to scuff and soften them for spinners. India doctors wickets even to the point of obvious selective watering of pitch regions useful to their own bowlers. Australia was simply doing what everyone else did. England applied pressure to umpires, rather than sandpaper, to get undeserved benefit from a replacement ball. Can you imagine cricketers of the 1970s being asked to do that? What kind of woman are you that you can't handle losing while busting your gut? To me it's a fucking disgrace. You might as well try to find a clean cyclist as a respectable cricketer. Smith and Warner can still get fucked, but so can everyone else. Test cricket is about sportsmanship, and that's gone. Right now, England is the exemplar of that. If you had anything worth defending in terms of character, you'd be devastated at this episode. It would be a antional shame and your coach and captain would be fronting a press gaggle announcing resignations. But you pretend it's not a problem, because you yourself have no character. It's things like this that give me savage pleasure that your country is being overrun by savages and you're such pussies you sit there and tolerate cringeworthy lectures by your pudgy, useless police. There is no such thing as an Englishman any more.
Very kind words from you my good man. Despite some of the bad press from media coverage, the crowds were really great and all with in the fun and love of the game. Joyous, moment for Broady, but what made his final wicket so perfect, was the fact that the always brilliant Nasser Hussain was commentating. Two great English cricketing icons. Listening to the pair of them commentating together during the recent Eng/NZ one day series; just brilliant incite and humor from them both.
Moeen Ali must not retire after such an amazing comeback. His contribution as an All rounder is outstanding. He has good record against India in India.👌👌👌
Moeen has the best bowling average in 2nd innings among all the active bowlers in the world. Even Lyon and Ashwin are behind him when it comes to 2nd innings.
Stuart Board has to be praised for his mental toughness and resilience shown !! What a bowler England had !! He could have easily been shadowed by James Anderson but he chose to carve out a name for himself. 600 wickets for a fast bowler is really no joke (even in country like England) and this guy chose every way to serve his country than to look for means to earn money. Huge respect, Boardy !! Best of luck for your future endeavours and thanks for a really inspiring career story.

What a way to end the most incredible Ashes Series! Easily the best one we’ve had since 2005. Twists and turns in every single game. 2-2 is a fair result considering how evenly matched these two sides were. Broad's final swansong ends with a victory and deservedly so. He has been a terrific ambassador for english cricket. In an age when players, both experienced and budding, are focusing exclusively on T20, this lanky pacer decided to dedicate his career to the longest, purest format of the game. An absolute legend.
I like that you pointed out how he stuck to the Test format when everyone is giving so much importance to the T20 format. To me, Test cricket will always remain the ultimate "Test" of patience, endurance, and deliverance. I remember the days when Broad and Anderson began their respective careers. No one would have thought they would collectively pocket over 1200 wickets (if I'm not wrong). England had other lethal pacers such as Andy Flintoff, Steve Harmison, Simon Jones, and Matthew Hoggard (don't remember if Broad had joined the squad then). While they may not have had the pace like Waqar and Wasim, their partnership should be acknowledged. So happy to witness these heroes during our time.
I think as long as we have the ashes to play that English players and spectators will always prefer tests. It's the purest form of the game and that's what it boils down to. It's a shame that T20 money is influencing the game as it is. Playing tests in other countries in empty stadiums is plain sad. Then seeing packed out stadiums in India to watch the 'warriors' play the 'lions' in a few overs of wam bam under floodlights. Oh its horrible. T20 is dreadful stuff. It will never be a thing here in England. We will drop the game altogether before we put T20 ahead of tests. And we are world champions in T20 and ODI. But neither really mean that much here. The 50 overs title was okish but only cause of the final itself and how close it was. But the T20 title? Personally speaking it meant literally nothing to me. Like all these ppl going on about when broad was basically a child and having a crap over in T20. Nobody here even cares about that. It doesn't even register. What a kid did in T20 is less than meaningless here yet so many go on about it as if it was some career defining moment. It's just so sad seeing so many cricketing nations putting more emphasis on limited overs rubbish. I really hope this T20 stuff does not dominate into the future. It really cheapens the game.
What a way to end his career with 604 wickets in a bag. What a crowd man👏. He deserves every person's respect from the crowd. A fairy tale ending🥺. Emotional moment for everyone. Such a great player. Hats off.
That dropped catch by Carey when Brook was on 5, who went on to 85 was a big moment in the game. Incredible series that deserved to end a draw. Well done to England and Australia for the best Ashes ever.
If they hadn't stupidly declared at Lords when Root was on fire at 118 not out off 152 they would've won the series. If rain hadn't saved the Aussies at Old Trafford it could've been a 4-1 sweep for the poms. England deserved to win, they were the better team with bat and ball.

Getting a wicket with his final bowl and celebrating in his usual fashion and finding the arms of Anderson, definition of a fairytale ending.
What a series. It had everything- high quality cricket, twists, turns, aggression, drama, grit, passion, & what not! ❤

Well said sir couldn’t of put it better myself.
Jay Shree Ram!
Even better... the final bowl of his career took a wicket - and the final ball he faced went for 6.
The entire series was memorable for many reasons, one of the best ashes series. Both the teams played brilliant cricket.

Nobody apart from us Indians cares about that useless record. This is test cricket that we're talking about. He leaves as a Legend
From being 2-0 down to almost winning the series. This team embodies character and ambition and a fitting end to one of their own. Watching England play is such a delight!
They definitely have the potential to retain the world cup
Give me a new ball or we ain't playing is what these cheats embodied
@@hopegaming867are those tears? You got sandpaper, sorry sand, in your eyes?
Aussies saved in the 4th test by the English weather.
Oh the bitter irony! lol
Shut up you doilem. Selection of new ball is absolutely nothing to do with the bowling side, and every team has seen it go against them. Fair result in a very even, contested series.
Was watching broad’s magnificent spell with my Dad this morning during breakfast and we were amazed with his fairytale ending. Witnessed his last wicket that got Carey out. Was always a fan of Stuart broad and will forever be a fan of his! Thank you, Broad!
Glued to my phone with this game thinking surely we've lost, bang, bang, bang, game over!
I had the shakes afterwards, just Incredible.
Omg! Broad could swing the ball even though the ball is 40 overs old
The legends never retires in our heart's ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
England me 35 over ke bad hi swing milta hai
They did not use new ball though :P
Yeah no, England demanded a new ball at 37 overs in the last innings, and the one they used to replace it was clearly not 40 overs old 😂
England took a 'new' ball after 37 overs
I am not committing that England took new ball in 37 overs... At the end of the innings broad bowled with 40 overs old ball.....this words are told . by Ricky pointing in commentating
England made a very grt comeback, when Woakes and Wood entered the team.
Woakes and Wood made great comeback and showed brilliant performance with bat and ball which prevented England losing the rest of the matches after the first two matches. 🔥🔥🔥👏👏👏
Congratulations to England...What a match we have witnessed...Team lagging behind 0-2 in the series to end up 2-2 was just phenomenal effort... Congratulations once again...loads of love from 🇮🇳
nothing is close to test cricket in England ... its one of the finest experience of the game, loves every moment !! what a career ending for Brodyyy can not ask for any better
13:57 that sound of the ball with angling away lifts the cricket to another level ❤

Very kind comments - thank you 👍
Great descisions by stokes ????😂😂😂😂
@@samexelby8715overall yes. He got a few things wrong. You could point to the declaration at Lords maybe but hindsight is 20/20 isn't it, and what if England had taken a couple of wickets late in the first day at Lords he would be hailed as a genius. Like he's said they have decided on the way they are going to play and they are sticking to it, and I'm fully behind that. It has revolutionised test cricket. It's great to watch and it's turned England around 360. So yeah I think his decision making, with what was available to him was spot on most of the time. Nobody is always right.
England would probably have won 3-2 if there was no rain on the final day of the 4th test.
@RamanAmatya23 if no rain today aus won the series 3-2
What a performance by England. Never lose hope in winning it, even Australia were 135 for O. Broad master of an angled bowling. What a performance by him. Excellent way to finish his test career. Congrats Broad. We will miss your bowling in Test. All the way from 🇺🇸.
Well bowled Moin Ali...
Being an Indian, i haven't missed an Indian bowler so far, like i'm going to miss Stuart Broad !!
As a Test match fanatic, English cricket, their Home test matches & their bowlers are so much close to my heart ❤❤❤❤
is there any indian bowler to be missed?
😂🙏

Broad what a player, thank you so so much for the joy you have given.
I remember him making his debut as a baby faced bowler. What a remarkable career. And even now still looks very young
End of an interesting and absorbing Ashes series. It was a delight for all the cricket lovers. Well played Australia and England. Thanks for a good game of cricket.
There is nothing like Test Cricket! 👍😎
Broad is an absolute legend 🥳🥁👏
It's a beauty of test match, how a single session can change the whole story.
Well done team England.... 👏👏
