    Chain looks 🔥. Ive been wondering if a cuban link style chain would be possible, along with cold working the links flat

    • @andrew6780

      That would go hard 😈

    • @MrJetlifeallday
      @MrJetlifeallday 3 роки тому

      That would be awesome! Hard to twist them so they all fit, also the whole chain usually has tension when bending so the links will be touching while you try and get them hot. This will cause them to tack to each other. Would love to see someone get around these obstacles but so far it’s been out of my reach!

    I think leveling up skill is more important for a beginner than being "creative." The inspiration, for me, happens when I've done something hundreds of times and this time the glass speaks to you. Shows you a new thing... but having a variety of exercises to keep from being dull is a good idea. I like the drawing example.
    I was trained in hot glass and find that I often push the heat too far. Did you experience this when you made your transition? If so how did you retrain yourself?

    Hi Dustin, longgg time viewer and fan here. Not commenting for the chain, some other lucky viewer can get it. What I am most interested in is learning how to electroform and doing inlays? I'm a leather worker as well and want to combine my glass blowing art with my leather work and inlay marbles and flat pendents and such. Do you have any good leads on these methods? I've watched a few vid's and done some reading, but it's always nice to get more leads and hear other artists experience and perspectives. Than you and keep on melting bro!

    I wonder how small you could make this chain before it's too fragile to wear

    • @MrJetlifeallday
      @MrJetlifeallday 3 роки тому

      I’ve seen small bracelets before that get small and have daily use. Also the homie jebb glass makes small mid evil flails that have chains with links that look about 3-4mm wide at most. Anything smaller would probably be too fragile for hands! Hope this helps ❤️

    Chain making hmmmmm have you thought about making a wooden jig so that all the pieces can be cut to the same length. This will speed up time.
