These blasters boast impressive battery life despite their flashing LED lights and compact size, so you can enjoy your music all day long. Here's my verdict on the XBoom PL5 and PL7 and how to pick your favourite of LG's pair.
The speakers are easy to pair with your phone using Bluetooth for wireless playback, or they also accept AUX connections. Those lights pulse in time to your tunes, providing a visual experience on top of the strong audio. The LG XBoom Go PL7 is definitely my favourite, offering a full-bodied sound and clearer vocals, yet the PL5 isn't far behind despite its smaller size. And that compact, super-portable speaker will give you a full day of use still from a single battery charge.

You always give a sound demo of phones even though that's not their main thing but when it comes to speakers we absolutely cannot have a sound demo. Good one. It's like going to a winery to look at the bottles but not allowed to taste any wine.
That's true. Microphone won't catch sound properly wasn't the good excuse. Anyhow, I have pl7 and it sounds amazing.

🤦♂️ sound test in a video is exactly useless. How do you think you’ll have any idea what the speakers sound like when you’re listening to the speaker recorded by a microphone (who knows the quality of the mic) through speakers that aren’t the one being reviewed. This deserves another 🤦♂️.

They told me in the shop double press on the play button skips to the next track and triple press to previous track. Couldn't test this as their demo track in the shop was a single 20min track in loop. Almost bought it but ended up with much cheaper Anker Soundcore Flare mini. It was nothing wrong with LG just went for a fully waterproof Soundcore for listening next to the swimming pool or at the beach.
I kinda prefer the design of the LG pk series. I have Sony xb41 and lg pk3.the lg pk3 is extremely loud very close to the loudest of them all Sonys xb41. The audio quality on the LG is better though.
The Lg Pk of last year had/have usb type c.I have the pk3, the little one and I am very pleased with the sound quality and volume.

How do these fair against the more popular highly scored (and usually more expensive)Ultimate ears boom, JBL flip, Marshal emberton and Sonos Roam ? do they give any decent competition to those ?
Pl7 delivers more quality in mid range and bass tones than the JBL flip, and the flip has a clearer sound in highs tones. PL7 is also more powerful.

Hard to tell. I sell my pk5 to buy pl5, i was very positive about the pl5 from yhe first time. Even the high bass was very noticeable. Pl5 is brighter and mids project agressively, pk5 is warm and neutral and mids are behind the bass.

When doing the dual speaker setup using the pl5 and the pl7 do you notice the pl7 being louder or anything like that? I wanted to get a pl7 but I have a pl5 and Idk if I should sell my pl5 to get two pl7s just so I can have two matching speakers for the dual setup.
Obviously pl7 is louder. It bigger in size and has 30 watt output

I have just ordered a NanoCell lg tv and the purchase includes an x boom pl7...think this will make a good sound bar.

Just after buying this speaker and as soon as I turned it on, I want to return it. Not the worst but had the Bose mini link beforehand and this speakers inferior sound is noticeable staightaway!

Anybody using any of these? How's the battery life?
I have pl 7 and it is as mentioned in the box. It impressive. You can easily go with high volume for more than 7 to 8 hrs. It can go beyond that as well depending on the music you are listening
