It’s my favourite LG speaker that I’ve used and I’ve used them all apart from the Pn7 that is.

I can do a comparison with the PL range but I'll need to get back to you about the lights. I'm not at home right now. You could with the pk range but I'll confirm whether it's possible with the pn/pl range as soon as I can.
@@StuTech hi man! Did you do the comparison between the PL and PN and if there is any difference making it worth it change it? I currently have a PL7 and I like it a lot for its price and size :)
@@Gmem0 PN range has the better sound overall. On the other hand, it is fittingly the pricier range, too. I heard the PL7 vs PL5 in a store recently, noticed that the smaller PL5 has less internal reverberation muddying up the sound than the PL7, which was another disappointment for me. I noticed the same thing with Sony's XG500 vs. the smaller XG300.
These lazy companies are neglecting internal acoustic treatment of the bigger speakers. Oh well.
A downside of the PN7 and P7 is that they have poorer stereo separation in normal mode, so they sit closer to mono sound than stereo... Until you hit the DTS button. I think they did that on purpose so the DTS effect is more pronounced, which is a retarded design choice. Oh well. P5 and PL5 are plenty good, at least.

There is a pn5-m version, I bought it, and was deeply upset at the lack of bass. Do you know what the difference is?

It’s not particularly louder, it’s a cleaner more detailed sound. In comparison the pk5 is muddier. The PN5 is my ‘go to’ and favourite out from the PK5 and the PL5.
