The glimpse of the alien in the found footage scene was one the first scenes in a movie to not jumpscare me, but fill me with dread.
That scene when you first see the full alien on the tv scared the shit out of me as a kid haha
I'm gonna be honest, I really like The Sixth Sense, Unbreakable, Signs, and The Village. I understand and agree that they are very flawed films (especially The Village), but they're still effective pieces and fun to watch. They have a solid sense of atmosphere that really sucks you in, even if the writing particularly doesn't.
Just love the scene when he passionately grabs his brother in law to bring into the Family Hug...
One of my favorite movies. An alien invasion that doesn't require mass destruction and constant cgi. Focusing on a single family and location while being a world wide event. It's just a good movie
"There`s a monster in my room, can I have a glass of water?"
How can we forget that Signs was the inspiration for the
This intro is confusing, I don’t really hear many people criticising this film? And rightly so as it’s an absolute masterpiece
The scene where the alien came out of the bushes gave me nightmares as a kid.
I love Signs, this is a great write-up acknowledging it's faults but also it's many positives.
Touching story, great soundtrack, creepy atmosphere. I love this movie.
This movie scared me so much when I was a kid that I still feel weird seeing it now
That birthday alien pop out scene is one of the most terrifying scenes I've ever scene.
Signs was one of my earliest influencers as a kid. I grew up watching it a lot and learned to have an appreciation for film because of it (and a few others), so admittedly, because of that nostalgia, I tend to get defensive when people bash on this film
Signs was first film for me that turned film from a mindless entertainment to an art. I watched it my freshman year in highscool for film class. It resulted in mt wanting to be a filmmaker. I haven't looked back. Signs changed my life.
I absolutely love this movie ....didnt know it was hated
This movie was extra scary because I use to live near a cornfield. 😨😨😨
Holy shit, finally, another person that isn't on the signs hate train! I started thinking it was just me and... Like, Chris stuckmann, and even he got shit for it. Great video as always! Keep it up!
I remember as a kid watching this, greatly affected by the creepy and dark atmosphere this movie put , and then growing up as an adult, learning about all the metaphors and deeper meanings. It made this movie even better for me, and I still love it. Yes there's some negatives but I still love the experience this movie gave me throughout my life.
I've always felt the movie gave you enough to figure out for yourself, that these aliens are in desperation mode. Like, they
