I got this cute French vintage paper craft kit from this shop and there were several pieces were missing. The owner of this shop made it totally up to me and made it so easy! This is an amazing miniatures shop! Your finds are so great!
I'm not surprised! You don't stay in business for 30 years unless you know what you're doing and you have great customer service. They survived several crashed economies and the pandemic.
I visited the only dollhouse shop near me. She is not online because she doesn't have anyone that would photograph the millions of items in the store. I was overwhelmed walking in. I need a whole day just to get aquainted with the set up 😂. There are dollhouses, room boxes and product filling this place haphazardly. I had to run out and add quarters to the parking meter . I will make a plan to go back one day when I feel my ocd can handle it. Until then I will check out earthntree. Thank you Shyra❣️
You're welcome! Earth & Tree Miniatures is filled with items, but they're arranged by category, type, scale etc. There are lots of dollhouses set up with items on display inside. Practically everything is for sale. They even design and mill their own dollhouses, room boxes, and additions etc.
I have seen you mention this shop in other videos, but I am SOLD after this haul! My family lives In Manchester (also where I grew up), and I think I’m going to have to make the trek over to Earth and Tree next time I’m home for a visit. That brass lamp and the andirons are so rad. Can’t wait to see what you make with the rest of this haul!
I had the same bathroom suite in green when I was a child, it was a Lundby set. with razor, soap dish, soap and towel. possibly tooth brush and toothpaste as well... I haven't made miniatures for a couple of years now, lack of time and too many hobbies, but watching your videos gives me some ideas....thank you 🙏

Yes! I love supporting local small businesses! You got some great pieces! My local community center is going to start a miniature craft class! I will definitely support Earth and Tree Miniatures!
I love supporting Earth & Tree. Normally, you need pay more than you otherwise would to support a small business, but their prices are the best anyway.
I would love to go, those bags are fun. but I am a bit far away. I am danish and I can tell that the dining room furniture are a very well known swedish style, so probably Lundby as well. the only1:16 piece I have is a chair designed by a danish designer. all my other dollhouse stuff is 1:12 and in that house it is always christmas!
I’m heading to Earth and Tree today for some supplies and chat. I need lumber (I call it that to feel big) and I want to see their haul from the Chicago show.
How fun! I remodeled a metal dollhouse in 1:18 scale into an English country cottage. I really enjoyed figuring out how to apply stucco to the exterior (gluing coarse fabric to the entire exterior helped the glue/spackle mixture to adhere as well as the thatch on the roof). Lundby is a super cute scale. You really found some treasures there!
Shyra, Once again your timing is perfect! Last weekend at a swap meet I bought a group of miniatures. The Queen Anne candle stand was missing two of its legs. On another channel, the miniaturist received one as a gift from a viewer. I had mentioned about my broken one I just bought and ask suggestions on how to repair it? The same nice viewer said she has another candle stand, with one missing leg, and she would send me the parts to fix mine! 🥰 Now, Shyra, you showed me how to repair it!! Thanks so much! 👏🎉☺️
The 1:16 cabinet and chairs are most likely Lundby. Because that kind of furniture is in the Gustav III style. I have a dining room table with chairs in the same style (not miniature). The flowers in the rosettes on the top of the chairs legs should be painted gold if you'd want it to be accurate,
Omg what a fantastic place! Good job I'm too far away to visit cos I'd want to spend a whole week in there 😍 My late mum decorated Goose eggs years ago with miniature pearls, gems, hinges & handles and used metal stands (like the item you said you might turn into a doll table base) to glue them in. They might have a different use in the US but it looks identical to some she had. I also love what you did with the tall plant stand's legs, it really brought it to life 👏👏👌
Oh thank you! There was a piano in bench I left behind. I realize that was Lundby too. The prices at Earth and Tree miniature really are the best, for their vintage pieces, artisan pieces, and the mass produced things they sell.
The Lundby pieces are so fabulous! I mean the sprayer in the dishwasher is an incredible detail. The andirons- gorgeous! Great haul! Lucky you to have a brick and mortar shop to visit. 😍
Oh, WOW ! I live in NH and I've been there a few times when I collected 1:12 miniatures (now it's American Girl dolls so larger doll items). I haven't been there since 2020 and Covid but wondered if they were still open. Haven't watched the video yet but I will, just wanted to make this comment first.
Similar to what I searched for; discounted items that I could use to make 1:12 furnishings. I did spend a lot of money on expensive items like a roast on a platter to go on a dining room table (which I paid a lot for that, too). My local Hobby Lobby has dollhouse items but they aren't discounted prices but not as expensive as the dollhouse furniture at Earth & Tree. Not as well made either, more like what you picked up on sale. Prices have increased over the last two years but some items some have the older prices on them.
I have a Lundby house and so for after a year only have kitchen appliances. So looking for more to finish rehabbing my house. I love the little diy kits. Would really like to get a collection to make.
‘Im sure I can find a use for these strange crafting materials’ sums up my thought process perfectly when i see almost anything 😂 I wish there was a dollhouse store near me but the closest one if 3hours away ☹️
I freaking love this store. When I first found them I spent like 4 hours there. I live close enough that I have to be really deliberate about how often I go or I would spend all my money there 😂
My family lives in NH and isn’t *too* far from Amherst (another Queen City, Manchester!) - next time I go visit them I’m going to have to plan a day trip to spend all my money at Earth & Tree, haha. I was so bummed to discover my local dollhouse shop in VA didn’t make it through the pandemic. RIP, Lilliput’s!
I’ve been wanting to take trip to this place based on your mentions. I live in NJ now but from the south west corner of NH. I’ll have to take a detour next time I go back home. I love how you demonstrate and so examples of your visions for these little things. How do you remember all of your ideas long term????
Pretty fantastic Lunby pieces. All the scrap pieces of wood will come in handy for building lots of different things. I enjoyed your video of your haul from earth n tree.
you are so creative to use the pieces you collect... great ideas. I would like to know what you do with all that you make? you must have hundreds of houses dioramas, and all the little vignettes that you make. what do you do with all them? do you sell somewhere?
So far, most of what I've made is in a couple plastic boxes. I am open to selling things in the future. I've only been making Minis for a few years so I have an accumulated too many things I've made yet. When I set up my new studio, I'll display things and do a studio tour.
You got a lot of good deals. I like that you are able and willing to repair your finds. I have to have an area that I can keep my cats out of before I start working on miniatures. I seriously need to clean out my craft room. Over the years, its been used for storage. 😢
I love the kitchen and bathroom sets with the table & chairs. With the toilet brush you can use a small wood dowel and a pipe cleaner shaped into a ring, glue inside the dowel for more realism. That kitchen set with the stove and dish washer is really cute, you can always change the color of the back splash to match. You did good at the store also. Have a great day
Also good for tiny handles is to strip a short length of electrical wire and use the outer plastic. I made a tiny paint roller from pipe cleaner this way
