Great video! I’m a hard bopper not much for the wild stuff.. can you give me some names of good hard bop from non American players , something that sounds like it came straight from Blue Note! Thanks.

      Thanks Mark.
I've just run through my jazz collection (app. 1000 records). And man - I think 80% or more is by American artists so...
Some of the bop'ers (like Dexter Gordon, Ben Webster, Kenny Drew, Ed Thigpen) however lived in Denmark for several years and has released a lot of records w. Danish/European musicians as sidemen. I suggest you check out the Danish Record label SteepleChase, which has released many records with these 4 musicians. Most of these are from early-mid 1970'ties.
Also check out Kenny Drew's records on the Japanese label Baystate (early to late 1980'ties). They might not be the cheapest (most of them are in Japan...), but the sound quality is great - as is the music.
Baystate also released "The Shadow of Bill Evans" w. Thomas Clausen Trio (1983). I also dig Thomas Clausen 3 "Rain" (MTX 29202) though this might be more post-bop/contemporary jazz.
Finally: Michel Petrucciani (trio) - e.g. "Pianism" (1986) and Barney Wilen (which was half French/half American).
      Good luck!
Note to selv: Make YT-video of great foreign jazz musicians who lived and recorded in Denmark/Scandinavia/Europe 😉
